Dusting it off, Xue Yang donned the Crimson Monk robe.
Surprisingly the two shared a similar height, however, due to Xue Yang's newly developed muscles the robe was a bit tighter than he'd like.
"It will do for now. I'll need to get a new robe soon anyway to avoid unnecessary trouble."
While the Crimson Monk had disappeared from the world at large a long time ago, the same couldn't be said about those he had harmed.
Even if he isn't the Crimson Monk, merely being related to him would be akin to a death sentence.
Wearing his robes would be even worse. At best he would get a quick death. But more likely, he'd be tortured relentlessly day and night for information about him.
Some out in the world believe that he had perished centuries earlier, however, those who knew him believed otherwise.
He was like a cockroach, no matter what life threw at him he would come out practically unscathed.
There was no way such a being simply faded to dust. If only they knew the truth…
Xue Yang could have simply taken the robe of one of his family's warriors, but in doing so his heart demon might act up again.
This was something he wanted to avoid as much as possible.
While creating this world Xue Yang ensured that heart demons would be something extremely vicious.
It's easy for it to become more and more powerful however, the same can't be said for weakening it.
That's why it's paramount to figure out early on what has caused the heart demon to manifest and remove the source ASAP.
The longer you wait the more painful it will become. Eventually, it will begin to start causing problems with your cultivation.
In the best-case scenario, it will cause qi deviation and your cultivation level might drop or your cultivation base gets destroyed turning you into a mortal.
In the worst-case scenario, you'd lose your mind, going on a mindless rampage until your body can't handle the rampaging energy and causes you to explode into a bloody mess.
None of these scenarios seemed appealing to Xue Yang, reality or not, nobody likes to suffer even when dreaming.
He sauntered to where the dead warriors were lying. After draining him of his blood, he threw the second warrior into a wall turning him into a mangled mess.
The majority of his bones had been crushed into dust from the force of the impact.
Because of this, he didn't resemble anything close to a human but looked closer to a human pancake, as if he was completely deboned.
The sight would make even the most seasoned warrior vomit from disgust but Xue Yang had a different reaction.
"I can't believe I said something so edgy and cringy to that guy" he winced.
In the heat of the moment, Xue Yang thought it would have been something badass to say, but now that he had some time to distance himself from the event, he couldn't help but think otherwise.
Sighing and shaking the thoughts out of his head he proceeded to grab one of their swords and rummaged through their clothing for anything useful.
Xue Yang tsked in disappointment having found only 20 copper coins between them.
While it wasn't a tiny amount, at most he'd be able to buy some food and something to drink.
Things that he did not need now that he was a vampire.
While he can still eat and drink the only point of that would be to keep up appearances or for the pleasure of good food.
The only things he could use that money for would-be clothing, equipment and a place to hibernate or wait out the day.
Xue Yang was still in denial about this being reality, he never had such a vivid dream so he believed he should at least enjoy himself while it lasted.
But money makes the world run and it's something he currently lacked.
With that, he made his way to the entrance of the cave.
Once he reached the end he was greeted by the rising morning sun and a spectacular view.
Off in the distance, the Yue clan compound was visible. Thanks to his superhuman eyesight Xue Yang could barely make out figures doing their morning training.
While he couldn't make out any details, it was still an impressive feat for a mortal. One that could only be replicated by a cultivator.
He spent a couple of moments taking in the view of the breathtaking sunrise but then an individual appeared walking by the training warriors.
Xue Yang couldn't make out who they were but his heart began to hurt more than before.
It felt as if it was ready to explode at any time. He bit his lip trying to endure the pain to no avail.
Even if he couldn't see who that person was, it was as if his body instinctively knew.
Then the worst possible scenario happened.
*DING*
[☆Heart Demon lvl 2☆}
A notification popped up in front of his eyes. Whoever that person was, Yue Yin must have hated them to the core.
Gently patting his heart Xue Yang said, "Calm yourself, they will get what they deserve in due time, however, that time isn't now… Just be patient I promise to deal with the Yue family when I can."
With that, the pain disappeared.
"Now let's go find the Crimson Monk's inheritance."
Xue Yang had followed his life earnestly in the past and knew exactly where the Crimson Monk had placed his inheritance.
Thanks to the sun's position, he also knew the direction he should take. If not for the robes he might have not thought of it as his first.
But fate was a strange thing. The more he thought about it, the more perfect this specific inheritance would be.
He didn't create the Crimson Monk yet his cultivation path fit a vampire perfectly. If he could just gain the inheritance his strength would increase exponentially.
The sun's rays started to reach into the cave entrance causing Xue Yang another issue.
As soon as the rays of light touched his body, most of his strength left him.

[☆Solar Sickness☆]
His shoulders felt heavy, and his head pounded as if he was hit by a truck. If he had anything to throw up, then it most likely would have already been all over the ground.
Huffing heavily, Xue Yang steeled himself.
It would be best to wait till nightfall, but back then someone would come looking for the two men he killed.
He might be able to kill those who come to the cave but soon after he'd have to deal with the Yue family's cultivators and that's not something he is capable of with his current strength.
Even though he was weak enough that a child might be able to beat him, it was still better to push himself and escape, than to stay and become a cornered rat and die a dog's death.
With that, Xue Yang gritted his teeth and took his first steps into the world of cultivation he had masterminded.
