Prodigy (Chapter 4)

"You're indeed a prodigy young Master. Not many is able to learn a language in such a short time", said the impressed Miyu.

"No no, you're just that great of a teacher", Jay replied.

A few days passed. He got accepted to one of the most prestigious school in Japan, 'Ichinose Prestigious School'. He got assigned to class 4A-2.

On his first day, he arrived early and visited his class teacher, Miss Sakurai. She talked about the rules of the school and other things to take note off.

As they're talking the bell rang. Miss Sakurai stood so Jay did the same.

"Jay come and follow to your new class in your new school", Miss Sakurai said as she left the teachers' office.

While Jay followed his new homeroom teacher, he looked around trying familiarise himself with the school because the last thing he wants is to get lost in a school so big without anyone that he knows.

After walking for a while they reached his new class that's located on the third floor of the building. His homeroom teacher entered the class first while he waited outside for the teacher to call him in.

============Teacher's POV=============

Another usual day at school was greeted by me Sakurai Aiko. I went to school earlier than usual to meet the new transfer student. The transfer student looks like he came from a fantasy world. I wouldn't be surprised if he says his parents is a model for magazine covers.

The transfer student named Jay came from America after his parents and adoptive parents passed. He now inherited a plot of land from his adoptive parents that allows him to stay here in Japan without worry about the house payment. Apparently he also inherited a huge sum of money from them too.

What surprised me is how fluent is his Japanese. He speaks better than most high school students and he's also very polite. When I asked who taught him how to speak Japanese he said he was taught by the caretaker of the house he inherited. He also said that it took him longer than expected to learn how to speak and read Japanese kanji.

When I heard that my jaw almost dropped to the ground. But I can't show that look to my new student as that'll hurt his first impression of me. Which isn't good at all.

After the introduction I proceeded with the explanation of the school rules. He asked a few questions but that shows that genuinely serious about the rules so I don't mind it.

I also gave him a few test to test him. But to my surprise he got it all right I guess that shows the difference in America and Japan.

The bell that signifies the start of the day rang as I said his total marks. So I asked him to follow me to his new class. As we reached we begin the homeroom with roll call. With that being over with I asked Jay to enter the classroom.

==============Jay's POV=============

As I was called in by Miss Sakurai, the class that was quite loud became so quite that you can hear the metaphorical cricket. Miss Sakurai asked me to introduce myself so I did just that.

"Hi My name Seong Jae-Hyun. You can call me Jay. I was born in America but my biological parents is both Koreans that migrated to America. I hope I can blend in with you guys".

Hmmmm that's weird why are they not saying anything. I looked at Miss Sakurai she looked as confused as me. So to break the tension she spoke up.

"Ok, Jay you can take the seat over there"she said as she points at the empty table at the back row which is also beside the window.

"If you any questions you can ask Hasegawa Aoi that sits beside you. She also the class representative. Hasegawa makes sure that he gets to know the school well".

"Ok teacher", Wow that's the laziest response I ever heard in my life.
