Phone (Chapter 10)

"Now that you're here let's go on with our day", I said to Hasegawa.

She nodded.

"Hasegawa, is there a place you want to go?", I asked curiously.

"Aoi", she said with a low voice

"Pardon?", I said as I was confused by what she meant.

"I said call me Aoi not Hasegawa", she said in the same volume.

"Ahh. In that case I shall do that", I said understandingly.

"So Aoi, where do you want to go first?", I asked again.

"Hmmmm... Let's buy you a phone first.

"A phone right? Can you teach me how to use it as I never owned one since I deemed it useless?", I asked for her help.

"Umu. I'll teach you everything I know", Aoi replied.

After finishing our conversation we walked straight towards the nearest phone shop. Well it's just me getting guided to the shop.

After walking for a short while we arrive at the shop called 'Silver Case'. We entered the shop and was greeted by a young female receptionist there.

"Good morning, is there something you young couples like to buy here", she said with an energetic voice.

"Umu, can you bring the lastest phone model you have here", I said nonchalantly.

That's when I felt my sleeve getting tucked. I turned behind and saw Aoi shaking her head vigorously at the staff. Seeing her I couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"It's fine", I said as I put my arm on her shoulder.

"Can you give me your opinions on choosing a phone since I don't know much about phones?", I asked the receptionist.

"Yeah it's fine since it's my job anyways", she said in the same energetic tone.

After going saying that she went to the back and grabbed a few boxes of packaged phones.

"Here are some of the newest models we have here", she said as she placed the boxes on the table.

"Umu. From all of this which do you think works the best for a student in terms of studies", I asked the clerk.

She pointed to a few boxes. This will make my decision easier since I lowered the amount of choices.

"Which do you think will look the best for me among these?", I asked Aoi for her opinion.

"This one I think since the mild colour will suit your aloof attitude", Aoi gave her thoughts.

"If you say so then I'll take it", I said.

"Excuse me I've decided to go with this one so can you please help pack this up for me", I said to the clerk politely.

"This one right. That'll be 10,000 yen"

As I'm not very good with money I didn't know how expensive the phone is so I just took out my debit card that was coloured in black with golden pegasus above the words 'The Class'. I used my card and left the store.

"Now that I got my phon.... What happened to you?" I asked.

"Uh no nothing. I was just surprised that you have such a prestigious card", Aoi replied.

"I see. So can you help me with my phone. We can sit somewhere if you want", I suggested.

"Umu. We can sit at a nearby restaurant. After eating I can teach how to use a phone", Aoi said.
