CHAPTER:2

I saw them in the cafeteria doing nothing but causing trouble. I caught up with them in the hallway, and they started talking about how it wasn't anybody's fault for the fire. They even insisted on checking the CCTV footage to prove their point. They asked me to talk to our chemistry teacher about it and said that if she doesn't consider their side, they'll take the matter to the dean to get their suspension canceled and rejoin the lab.

I also knew it wasn't their fault, but the teacher wasn't ready to listen. So, I told them that I'd get their suspension canceled, as the president of the school's cybersecurity club is my senior, and we're good friends and neighbors. I reached out to Louis and asked for the footage. He promptly did all the work and handed me the footage. He even asked if there was something else he could do for me. "So nice of him," I thought. Wait, what kind of feeling is this? I rushed back to the chemistry teacher's office, showed her the footage, and she immediately canceled everybody's suspension. I returned to the cafeteria after about an hour and shared the great news. The teacher even apologized for her actions and assured them that they would receive bonuses in their semester exams. Suddenly, I felt like I was floating off the ground because these fools were so happy and carefree, acting like they had achieved something no one else on the planet ever had. They all seemed foolish at the time but were radiating good and happy vibes. That's how I knew they were going to be good friends of mine in the near future.

Suddenly, the clock beside me rang, and I woke up, realizing it was midnight. I remembered that I had fallen asleep on the couch and was dreaming about that day. However, I freaked out when I realized I had only four hours left before the trip; otherwise, they'd leave without me. This trip was essential for me as a vacation and for my research portfolio. I immediately left the couch, but everything started to fade to black.
