CHAPTER:6

The alarm rang at seven in the morning, and I sprang out of bed to get ready for college. I took a shower, got dressed, and packed my bag for college. As I descended the stairs, my sudden presence surprised my parents, and they smiled instantly. My mom advised, "Honey, you should take some rest and avoid stress." I replied, "Of course, I'm relaxed and stress-free. Don't worry about me, and the same goes for both of you," all while taking a bite of an apple. We all sat down to have breakfast before heading to our respective workplaces. I left the house, waving goodbye to them.

As I closed the front door of our house, I spotted the most handsome man on the planet, smiling from cheek to cheek, on the other side of the road. He started walking toward me, and I tried to calm myself and the blush that was undoubtedly on my face. He said, "Hey, how are you?" I replied, "Well, never better." He followed up with another question, "Are you alright and feeling better? And don't go all alone, I'll drop you off instead." I answered, "Yep, don't you think so? Thanks for insisting, but I can walk. It'll be good for my health." I started walking away, but I secretly wished I could stay with him. After a while, I noticed him catching up to me.

He explained that it took time to park the car back in the garage. I wondered, "Why is he so worried about me?" Suddenly, he asked another concerned question, to which I replied, and then I asked him, "Why are you so worried about me?" He responded, "Because you are someone very close to my heart. I wouldn't hide anything from you." He stared into my eyes, and I blushed, looking away.

Finally, college arrived, and I didn't have to feel this uncomfortable anymore. I quickened my walking pace and waved goodbye to him. He smiled as always and waved back to me. Even though he's my senior, I never felt that way about him. He's always been kind and charming. Could I be falling for him?
