CHAPTER:5

I hope I get better because I have some unfinished work that I need to do before I leave everyone behind. After Louis told me, I felt sad and tears escaped from their captivity. But I was more inspired to live my last days with the ones I love the most: my parents, friends, and Louis, of course.

As days passed, I was shifted to another hospital, which was the best in the country, in New York. Days passed slowly, filled with boredom most of the time, until everyone was there, making my life better than ever. The doctors ran some tests on me, and I was finally good to go home. "Finally, a break from the boring hospital," I thought.

As I reached home, I threw my bag and hugged my pet dog, Emerald, who was the most excited creature to ever meet me. I caressed his furry body as he licked me. Although he's a male dog, he's very gentle and loyal to me. I then went to take a shower and enjoy my homemade dinner after enduring that tasteless hospital meal. My dad, mom, and I had a great dinner together after a long time. I usually lived alone because my mom and dad worked upstate. We chatted about nonsense, laughed, and enjoyed the night, which I will remember until my last breath.

It was getting late, so my parents went to their room after a gentle hug and kiss on my forehead. I went upstairs to my room, followed by Emerald, and began to contemplate how to spend my final days filled with adventure, learning, and quality time. I decided to plan the canceled trip again with my friends and also a family trip afterward. Even though our vacations were over, giving it a try would be great for all of us. I climbed into bed with Emerald lying beside me, scrolled through my phone to check my message inbox, and found only one message about the canceled trip tickets. I let out a deep sigh and fell back to sleep.
