CHAPTER:4

Thinking about this, I finally fell asleep after 2-3 hours. When it was morning again, I heard a lot of people talking in the room. When I opened my eyes, I was pleasantly surprised to see all my besties there with a lot of weird presents for me. I hugged all of them while sitting on my bed, with a smile and energy to get better. But suddenly, I remembered about the trip and asked why they had canceled it. To which they replied, "How could they leave without me?"

My shameless friends asked, "Is that senior your boyfriend? You never talked about him, hmm." I was quite embarrassed, and my cheeks turned red as he was just behind them. To avoid their silly questions, I changed the topic. As time passed, I even started thinking about what had happened to me again and asked my parents, "Why am I ill?" to which they answered, "It's nothing to worry about." But I always knew that whenever my parents used these terms to explain complex things, it was always bad news.

Instead, I asked Louis about my illness, to which he replied, "I don't want you to bother or get worried about anything, but this is serious, and you need to know. Sam, you have lupus, and it is attacking your brain. The chances of survival are very low, as told by the doctors. But don't worry, we'll get you the best doctor for the cure."As he said these words, he was holding back his emotions, to which I responded, "Well, if I don't have much time left, I will make the most of it with all of you," with a smile and tears in my eyes. I hope I get better because I have some unfinished work that I need to do before I leave everyone behind.
