CHAPTER:9

I went to my house, and he went in the opposite direction towards his house. When I rang the doorbell, there was no response, indicating that my parents hadn't returned yet. I sent them a text to inquire about their arrival time. My dad replied that they were on their way back and mentioned that there might be a spare key under the doormat. I checked under the doormat, but there was no key there. This meant I had to wait until they got home. In the meantime, I wandered around the neighborhood, here and there.

From his bedroom, Louis spotted me and came outside of his house, waving. He asked if my parents had arrived yet and offered me to come to his house. So, we headed to his place. As I sat on the couch, I noticed Mr. and Mrs. Smith in the hallway. They entered the room and greeted me warmly. Louis returned from the kitchen with snacks for me, and he informed his parents that we were heading to his room to discuss something and have snacks together.

Though I wasn't particularly keen on being alone with him, I agreed as we needed to talk more about the trip. We went upstairs to his room and stepped inside. I was quite taken aback by how neat and well-maintained his room was. He invited me to sit wherever I preferred, and we shared the snacks. After we finished, we delved into discussing the trip in more detail, and I even assisted him in packing his belongings.

As I sat down on his bed to take a breather, I suddenly began to feel dizzy. I thought to myself, "This can't be happening now." Even he noticed the abrupt change in my expression and asked what was wrong. I brushed it off, attributing it to exhaustion. About thirty minutes later, my parents called, asking where I was and why I hadn't returned home. I explained that I was at Louis's house since there was no spare key, but I assured them I would be home shortly. As I was relaying this information, Louis interjected with a "Are you leaving?" to which I responded, "I can't stay here forever, right? Okay, bye," accompanied by a smile. I left his room and began descending the stairs, when suddenly, everything around me started fading, and I collapsed.
