CHAPTER 12: AWKWARD TENSIONS.

The awkward tension in the mansion hung thick in the air after the heated argument with Regan's sister, Immeralda. Days turned into weeks, and it seemed like the rift between her and the couple would never heal.

Regan, torn between his love for Reynolds and his family, tried his best to mend the broken relationships. He had heartfelt conversations with Immeralda, assuring her that their love was genuine and that they meant no harm to the family's reputation. But Immeralda remained stubborn and distant.

Reynolds, sensing the growing divide, decided to give Immeralda space, hoping that time would eventually heal the wounds. He focused on his job, pouring himself into his work and doing his best to keep their love intact.

As days passed, the awkwardness in the mansion became palpable. Meals were eaten in silence, and Regan, Reynolds, and Immeralda went about their routines without interacting more than necessary.

One evening, Regan and Reynolds found themselves alone in the garden, looking up at the stars. Regan broke the silence, his voice trembling with uncertainty. "Reynolds, I hate that we're all so distant now. I wish there was a way to make things right."

Reynolds took Regan's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We can't force Immeralda to accept us, Regan. We can only hope that time will heal her heart."

Regan nodded, leaning in to kiss Reynolds gently. "I love you, Reynolds, and I don't want anything to come between us."

Reynolds smiled, his love for Regan shining in his eyes. "I love you too, Regan, and no matter what challenges we face, we'll face them together."

As they held each other under the starry sky, their love remained strong, a beacon of hope in the midst of the awkward tensions in the mansion. They knew that, in time, love would conquer all, and their story was far from over.
