Regan and Reynolds were determined to mend the strained relationships in the mansion, especially with Regan's sister, Immeralda. They knew that love could conquer misunderstandings, but it required time and patience.
One day, Reynolds decided to take a step towards reconciliation. He found Immeralda in the mansion's library, where she often sought solace. Her face was buried in a book, but Reynolds could see the sadness in her eyes.
He approached her cautiously, his voice gentle. "Immeralda, can we talk?"
Immeralda looked up, surprised to find Reynolds there. She sighed, closing her book and giving him a nod. "Fine, let's talk."
They sat down, and Reynolds began to speak sincerely, "I want you to understand, Immeralda, that Regan and I share a deep love. It's not about disrespecting the family; it's about embracing the happiness we've found in each other."
Immeralda listened, her expression softening as she heard Reynolds' earnest words. She admitted, "I overreacted, and I've seen how much Regan means to you."
Reynolds nodded, relieved that they were making progress. "Immeralda, we don't want to be a source of discord in your family. We hope that, in time, you can accept our love."
Immeralda took a deep breath and extended her hand to Reynolds. "I'm willing to try, for my brother's happiness."
Reynolds smiled and shook her hand. "Thank you, Immeralda. Your support means a lot to us."
Their conversation marked the first step on the path to reconciliation. Regan and Reynolds were hopeful that, with time, the awkwardness in the mansion would fade, and their love would be fully accepted by the family.
