(26) Plan to affect Katlyn

'I will need to increase my mana manipulation skill though...I guess it can't be helped.' Lucas looked at the number of villain points he had left.

'Not bad is all I can say. I will be left with plenty to spend on my hobby too.' 

With no hesitation, Lucas upgraded his mana manipulation rank. 

[Mana manipulation (C): 8000 villain points.]

Inhale-exhale~

Lucas calmly began circulating the mana in his body, bringing most of it to his vocal parts. 

His plan was mostly simple, to calm the chaotic mana reacting within Katlyn's face using his mana-infused voice. But of course, he would be singing.

'I hope that this gives me a satisfactory reaction from her, once she wakes up. I will have to make a song before coming so that I can publish it too. I do have to leave proof of it being me....'

From Lucas's observation so far, it seems like Katlyn was in a semi-coma state, or similar to such a state. She could not see, but she could feel and hear slightly through her unconscious mind. 

If he were to etch his song all over her unconscious mind...the results might bring Lucas to an optimistic situation. 

'I am not going to apologize either though. It's not something I did and I hate it when I think from the perspective of a villain too. I don't mind acting a little to win over a beautiful woman, but I don't have any intention of taking up some stupid responsibility from here and there.' 

At this point, Katlyn's muffled groans had stopped and her body had instead begun convulsing. Causing Lucas to turn serious too. 

Lucas cleared his throat and sang a random song from the past that he felt to be motivating. He changed many of the phrases just in case.

"I just want to be the best at what I love."

"Everyone just tests and says their part, breaking a part of our spirit." 

"They say that my way is too aggressive with my work, they call me too impatient with my work, but I have only one thing to say to each of their words!" 

"I'm not gonna lie, the world is tough but I won't stop until the end!"

"I have been through many injuries, my mind has grown used to it."

"I will become anything but nobody!" 

The surrounding mana reacted to Lucas's voice, moving along with his rhythm. 

The moment Lucas's mana-infused voice reached Katlyn, it began affecting the foreign mana on her face. Through his understanding, he could easily calm it down. If he had a higher understanding percentage, he could probably directly expel the mana little by little too.

Normally such a thing was impossible, as every awakened person has different mana characteristics. Extensive research would be needed, which only top-tier doctors in the current era perform. 

'Well, for me it's a piece of cake due to discerning eyes.' Lucas carefully watched Katlyn's expression. 

A minor commotion was occurring outside the door, but Lucas ignored it with a straight face. 

Katlyn's body which was shaking hysterically came to a stop slowly and she began breathing normally. The monitor showed her condition to have stabilized too. 

With her peaceful look visible in his eyes, Lucas sighed. He had succeeded in influencing the A rank awakener's mana with his own somehow. 

'It's a remnant mana thankfully and I had C rank manipulation, which made it possible. Phew...Let's set things up with the manager. He seemed to be capable in my eyes.' 

The manager was without a doubt pressured by all the family involved in the incident. Tycoons would of course hold all the power in this regard, the manager had no power to resist. 

Throwing another tissue consisting of his nose bleeding into the trash can, Lucas got out of the room. 

There, dozens of doctors and nurses could be seen staring blankly at him. Katlyn's condition was displayed on their mobiles. 

Katlyn's seizure was not something that they could stop either. All they could do was register a painkiller to alleviate Katlyn's pain. They were sad by their own inability, but there was nothing else they could do either. 

However, today Lucas miraculously stopped Katlyn's seizure somehow. 

"How...?" The doctor couldn't help but ask blankly after checking in on Katlyn. 

Lucas was preparing to leave but turned back after hearing the doctor's voice. 

"I sang a song." 

"A song..." The doctor felt bewildered internally and thought Lucas's song might have some psychological effect on Katlyn. Which kind of didn't make any sense as the remnant mana had no connection to Katlyn's mood.

However, the doctor didn't think Lucas lied as the camera recorded it all. 

Not continuing the conversation, Lucas arrived at the manager's office. 

"Why are you doing this...?" The manager who had watched through the camera questioned with confusion. 

"Does Katlyn have a seizure every day and when does it usually happen?" Lucas ignored the manager's hardened expression. 

"Yes, it happens every day around the afternoon...."

The manager spoke with a slightly depressed voice, not noticing Lucas's smile.

"I will be visiting every day from now. Ah and call me when Katlyn is having a seizure too." Lucas ignored the manager's question and stated his piece. Not waiting for a response, he got up immediately.

Lucas could hear the manager's displeased voice from behind him, but he still ignored it and walked out along with Syuzia.

Reaching outside the hospital, a look of enlightenment passes through Lucas's face.

"Ah, I forgot about administering you to school. But now....it would be impossible with your speed of growth...." Lucas looked at Syuzia with an apologetic look. 

 "I don't care about it, Papa." Syuzia's blank face was taken over with a smile. 

Lucas nodded his head resolutely, 'I will just admit her directly to the anti-clock academy next year.'

After buying some snacks and dessert from the pastry shop, Lucas arrived back at his house. His initial depressed mood because of Katlyn recovered at this point.

'As long as I leave behind a lasting effect on Katlyn, I can take it as something beneficial.' 

Lucas flicked the cigarette in his hand and looked at his palm. 

'And I'm once more addicted to cigarettes...' Smirking at himself bitterly, Lucas began planning on the next song he would publish. 

To leave behind a lead for Katlyn to find who was the singer, Lucas decided to publish the songs he would sing for Katlyn from now on. 

Lucas's plan was set in motion immediately. 

From that day, Lucas began visiting the hospital every day. The doctors and nurse didn't try to stop him either, seeing the ever-suffering Katlyn sleeping so peacefully. Instead, they began to enjoy the songs Lucas sang. Sometimes it was sad and sometimes it was burning with positive emotions too.

A week went by just like that and the farewell day of Lucas's school was held at last. A little delayed because of some complications. 

In this time, Lucas attained 100℅ understanding of the remnant mana on Katlyn's face, plus 16,500 villain points, and 1,200 villain aura because of the songs he uploaded. 

And as if proving Lucas's effort was paying off, a notification hit him. 

[The host has affected Katlyn's mind to a large degree. Female lead aura -500 and protagonist aura -500. The host's villain aura +1000]

'From this message, it is apparent that the protagonist finds some way of comforting Katlyn. Which might have won over Katlyn after she woke up. But, now I have taken away that chance. Hehe.' 

Lucas laughed evilly, he was happy that his decision was the correct one. 

Truthfully, Lucas could have gained more, but he only published once every three days. If he began pumping out videos of his songs suddenly, of course, many people would be bewildered.

If Lucas wanted, he could fix Katlyn's injuries, but decided against it for now. The longer Katlyn received Lucas's treatment, the higher the chances of her being deeply affected by him.

But of course, Lucas had spent every night with different women he picked from the net. Hailene even took the initiative a few days ago to contact him. 

Lucas didn't refuse and they again spent another hot night in the love hotel. 

Feeling a little excited, Lucas put on his clothes to head towards his past self's school. The farewell party was today and it began quite early in the day too.

He had a lot of expectations on this trip, for one, he would find the protagonist who would add Katlyn to his harem and if lucky, find more female leads too. 

"You look excited." 

"Of course." Lucas patted Syuzia's cute head. 

They both headed out together after finishing getting ready.
