Chapter 4: The Haunting Past Unveiled

Chin had always tried to bury the haunting memories of her childhood, but sometimes, the past has a way of resurfacing when you least expect it. It was the year 2002 when she was just four years old, living a life any child would envy.

In those early days, her mother was an architect with a passion for design and her father was a businessman. Their world was filled with lighter and love, and Chin had everything a child could wish for

But one fateful morning, her world shattered. She woke up to a sight that would hurt her for the rest of her life--her mother's life less body wrapped in a shroud of blood. The police formed for that her mother had taken her own life the previous night

Tears streaming down her face, Chin couldn't comprehend the horrific reality. She found a letter under her mother's table, its words etching themselves into her young mind: "Chin, remember when you first asked me why your eyes were different from other kids, and I told you they were not different but special.."

With bated breath, Chin devoured each word as her mother unraveled the enigma that had haunted their family for generations. Her eyes, so brimming with curiosity, sparkles, and an insatiable thirst for connection, were no ordinary gift. They were a curse, an inheritance from her mother.

"These eyes of yours, my dear," her mother continued, "seek a connection that transcends the ordinary. They search for someone out there who will ignite their brilliance, a person who will make them shine brighter than the stars. But, Chin, this curse exacts a heavy price - once you find that person, you can't stay with them ,The first time when i held you in my arms and you opened your eyes and made an eye contact with me , my eyes started shinning brighter and at that point i came to know that my eyes were looking for you throughout my journey but due to that curse i was able to live with you only for 4 years."

The letter left Chinn trembling. Tears and blood seemed to blur the words, as her mother revealed the heart-wrenching truth. She had lived with Chinn for only four years, leaving behind something special for the daughter she adored, something that those with ordinary eyes could only envy.

The love she had for her parents, the life she had cherished, was marred by the realization that her mother died. She fainted away and when she opened her eyes in a hospital ward ,Her anguish deepened as she learned that her father had died on the same night her mother took her own life, and the letter had been seized by the police to study her mother's case.

From that day forward, Chin's life took a heart-wrenching turn. She was no longer the carefree child she once was. The adoption center became her new home, where she struggled to find solace and a sense of belonging.

But then, one day, a couple entered her life. Her foster parents. The people she lived with now. Chin's past was a chapter she had tried to forget, but as the pieces of her tragic history fell into place, she couldn't help but wonder about the curse that had haunted her family.

As she delved deeper into the memories of her early childhood, she realized that the curse of her eyes was entwined with the mysterious events unfolding around her-the cryptic messages, Miss Red's secrets, and the enigmatic man from the subway.
