Ghosts Of His Past

When the old butler called for him, only then did Killian realize that he was following Cedric. His feet had already followed the path he had taken. Why was Cedric so sure that Elara was on the roof?

The doors of the roof closed after sunset and it was way past that time. Why would she be there when there was no one to light the torches of the stairs.

"Go and search for her in her room and kitchen." He commanded the staff. This time, they did not tarry and left with hurried steps.

"Young master, your grace is raging. It would be better that you did not approach him for the meantime." the butler repeated as he stood beside Killian as if he was trying to protect him from the imaginary demon Cedric had left behind.

Normally, Killian would have enjoyed the empty warmth his words hold. But he was shaken by Cedric's outburst at this moment.

"Did you intentionally let the servants mock her?"

"......."
