He Was Waiting For Her

Elara opened her eyes in a dark room. When she tried to move, every nerve on her body ached and refused to follow her command. She blinked and looked around. There was no torch lit but she was sure it was not her room. What happened? Why was she here?

The smell of herbs was so strong. And it took her a second before all the memories flooded back in her mid. She was pushed by the maids and she had fallen from the stairs. She bled so much that she was sure she was going to die. But she was saved?

Her heart stirred as she knew no one would visit that area after sunset. The knights had always been fired and the maids would have made sure no other maid would visit there.

There was only one man who knew she was there. Did he come looking for her? Did he save her? The thought was as impossible as fairies coming to save her. But she could not think of any other possible savior. So, she let it go. She can always ask others later.
