Not A Slave?

The vampire did not ask for her price, the seller did not tell him. He just bowed and smiled, delighted that everything went well though he was not able to sell even half of the planned slaves to this man. This must have delighted to save his life.

The man was happy that he did not die from the hands of this notorious lord who was famous for killing many witches.

Bella was forced to her feet and was dragged out of the room. She did not hear what they were talking anymore but she was sure it was about her.

Her life as a slave started now. She had to find a mistake, a weakness that his man held and then she could return home where she would be loved.

Her heart was filled with new determination that she could not feel the pain of the pebbles and stones scratching her bare feet or ankles. She was more than happy to be taken as a slave could ever have.

She was taken to a luxurious carriage with silver and blue color. It was nothing like she had ever seen. The metallic finish of the carriage and the small lights attached to it was so majestic.

When the door was opened, she noticed velvet seats that were softer than the bed she had at her home. The doors were full of velvet too from inside.

Of course, he must be rich. She shook her head as she entered and sat on the seat. It only took him a few more minutes to return.

He was surprised to see her sitting on the seat and raising her head to meet his eyes when he opened the door.

A soft chuckle escaped his lips, bemused he closed the door behind him and the carriage soon started.

"The guard told me you have silver hair because of a disease but you are not a witch.'' It was a story she had created years ago to mix among humans.

Her obsidian eyes were just like humans with no light in them. There was no way they would be compared with the silver gems that sparkle in the dark. She slowly nodded, reminded by the harsh reality when he hummed softly.

"We will check that soon. But if I find that you are lying… you will not be able to speak ever after. I hate liars." she rolled her eyes at that. Even if she had accepted that she was a witch at this moment, he would have killed her since he hated witches.

That made her wonder, how many things did he hate? And how much his hatred could control him.

"You are not a slave. Are you?" she blinked and realized that she was lost in his thoughts. "You are blatantly staring at your master. I have never seen a slave doing that." as if he could read the confusion on his face.

"It is because you are handsome." The bored and tired face of Rafael lit up when he heard the woman and a smirk brought on his lips. His dim and dark red eyes twinkled with a ray of light that only accentuated his pale face.

A man much taller and stronger than her with a wide chest and slim waist. His dark red eyes were like the darkest rubies she had ever seen. His fair face was so enchanting that she could not describe it in words. His pale and thin lips and his chiseled jawline. He was the most vampire man she had ever seen. Not that she had seen many but she had seen many portraits. He was better than the one she had met in the black market.

Dami! That was what the young vampiress had called him.

"I have never seen a slave raiding their master before too!" why not? Should they not praise their master to keep themselves safe?

Looking at the confusion laced on her face, she looked strange. Her silver hair did not look any different from the witches but the dark eyes matched humans. Could she be a mixed breed? But witches were conservative about their blood lineage. He had never heard any of them getting married to humans.

Ha! It was all their arrogance. To think that they believe that they were higher than others to the level where they would kill others mercilessly. They deserve death, all of them. And wiping all of them from the land would be doing a favor to all the races.

"Slaves do not have thoughts or voices to judge someone as beautiful or ugly. They were just puppets in the hands of their master. Come.." he extended his hands and she hesitated only for a second before holding it.

He pulled her in his arms and sniffed her. Bella held her breath. She had seen this accident where that vampire had sniffed a witch and then killed them mercilessly. Was he doing it too?

And would he be able to find her reality? Her heart rammed against her chest and though she did not show fear, she was sure the vampire had strong ears to hear her heartbeat and knew how scared she was.

"I am new to it." she accepted, it would be better to mix some lies in truth rather than some truth in lies.

The more she would speak the truth, his guards would be down and she could find a chance to grow closer to him before her death.

His thighs are strong but too warm for her comfort. She could feel her thighs burning with the touch. It was too different when she was touched by Lucio. Something different that made her heart beat faster but for a different reason.

"I have only been kidnapped a week ago. They thought I was a witch and they could earn a lot from me." he raised his head and met her eyes. His dark red eyes were sinister and she could feel their burn.

"Yet, you come with me easily. As if you wanted to get sold to me. Hmm?"
