In the kingdom's garden, a sense of unease overwhelmed Liveda, the crown Prince of Harz. A power unlike any he had ever encountered had knocked him off balance. None in the kingdom possessed the same abilities as him, for he possessed multiple powers, though not all. The elders believed he was the chosen one of Elimen, but deep down, he knew this was not true. And today only confirmed his doubts. The mage's ability he sensed was far more potent than his own, and he felt compelled to discover the identity of this individual.
"My son, why do you stand here with such worry?" Liveda's father's voice interrupted his thoughts from behind.
"I sensed great magic today from the human world, Father, and I must uncover its source," he replied. His father's expression darkened, and a stormy rage flickered across his face. He too seemed lost in thought until his eyes widened in shock.
"Yes, I shall accompany you. Prepare our chariot," he commanded urgently. His pale complexion worried Liveda, and he yearned to understand what troubled him.
"Who do you believe this person to be? Could it be Elimen or something even more dangerous?" Liveda pondered aloud. If this individual was not Elimen, then countless lives would be at stake.
"Guard, prepare a ride for the Crown Prince and me. We depart tomorrow at 6," he ordered before leaving in haste.
Deciding to set aside the enigmatic and stressful power that consumed his thoughts, Liveda sought solace in rest. With closed eyes, he exhaled deeply as the wind gently brushed against him. Suddenly, a pair of hands encircled his torso, and the scent of woody petals filled the air. It was Brittney.
She kissed his cheeks and nibbled on his neck. Sometimes, Liveda wished he had never met her. Their relationship had begun under the blackmail of her father, General Oz, who held the love of the entire army. Brittney's obsession with him stemmed from a desire for power. She aspired to become the future queen once they graduated from Harz Institute. An overwhelming sense of distress washed over Liveda as her hands wandered to places they should not be. Though she possessed an alluring beauty with her red hair and peculiar gray eyes, he did not truly care for her. He turned and held her tightly, staring directly into her eyes.
"Tsk tsk tsk, if I were you, I would not tempt an angry mage. You may find that your beautiful dress does not remain intact," he warned, noticing the edges of her lips curling into a smile. She leaned in and bit his ear. That was the final straw; he needed to teach her a lesson. Utilizing his speed, one of his abilities, he swiftly carried her to his room, placed her on the bed, and locked the door. She was still catching her breath from the sudden movement. His eyes held no love, only lust. He tore off his shirt and leaned over her. Their kiss was intense, but he did not allow himself to moan in pleasure. Brittney, on the other hand, whimpered loudly. Once their make-out session concluded, they lay beneath the covers, their discarded clothes strewn across the floor.
"Baby, you seem distracted. Did you not enjoy what transpired?" she asked, concern etched across her face. How could he not enjoy what had occurred? He chuckled loudly and assured her that it was nothing of the sort. As sleep began to claim him, he closed his eyes and fell into a dream.
