"What in the world is that?!" Ethan exclaimed, his voice trembling with astonishment as he shook Aether.
Aether, too, was initially taken aback by the sight of the large black object approaching from the south.
However, a faint smile crept onto his lips as he whispered, "It seems the Dremon troops are finally arriving, and I believe my big sister might be among them."
Upon hearing this, Ethan, who was standing beside Aether, couldn't help but overhear the whisper.
He looked at his friend in shock.
"What? Your sister, Flora?" Ethan asked, his surprise evident.
While he and Aether were close friends, Ethan had only heard bits and pieces about Aether's older sister, Flora Luke.
They had never had the opportunity to meet or even see her in person.
Nonetheless, Ethan knew that Aether's older sister held a prestigious position as a Dremon Commando, a position of great importance.
"Yes, didn't I mention my elder sister to you before?" Aether stared at him with a puzzled expression, noticing Ethan's somewhat uneasy reaction.
"Damn it, when have you ever told me more than a few basic things about your sister?" Ethan folded his arms across his chest and snorted in annoyance.
At that moment, Aether finally realized that he had seldom shared details about his older sister, Flora, with anyone, except for those who had known her since childhood, like Arshley.
Aether immediately scratched his nose in embarrassment and patted Ethan's broad shoulder.
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry," he casually apologized, and then his gaze shifted back to the direction of the large black aircraft flying steadily.
Ethan didn't make much of it either, and his attention returned to the sky.
"By the way, what's the name of this massive aircraft? I don't know why, but it looks incredibly cool. I can't help but imagine what it would be like if I were the pilot. Beautiful women from all around the world would surely look at me with admiration, right?" Ethan's gaze remained fixed on the large black aircraft, and his words were softly spoken but still caught Aether's ear.
Slowly, Aether turned his gaze back to Ethan, a playful glint in his eye.
"I really can't fathom why the eldest son of the Arcana Federation's minister is completely oblivious to one of humanity's greatest inventions. If I were an uncle, I'd seriously question whether you're truly my son." Aether shook his head, casting a pitiful look at Ethan.
Aether's rather loud remark hit Ethan like a jibe.
Just as he was about to retort to Aether's jest, the large aircraft suddenly accelerated, creating a distortion in the air.
"Whoosh!"
Everyone in the palace field quickly covered their ears, including Ethan, as the air pressure was so intense it felt like their eardrums were being pierced.
However, Aether, who had headphones in his ears, remained unaffected.
Soon, the massive aircraft soared over the palace field and landed on another vast field behind the Arcana Federation palace.
Gradually, people uncovered their ears, their attention unwavering as they kept their gaze fixed on the direction where the large black aircraft had touched down.
"Wow! Did you see that?"
"It's absolutely mind-blowing and astonishing! The Arcana Federation must possess incredible technology."
Many in the crowd cheered with boundless excitement.
For numerous attendees from regions beyond the Arcana Federation's jurisdiction, this was their first encounter with such a colossal aircraft, leaving them in awe and wonder.
Ethan himself shared the same sense of bewilderment.
It was his inaugural sighting of such an immense and splendid aircraft, and he immediately turned to Aether for an explanation.
"Hey, buddy, I've got a burning question this time," Ethan said, taking a deep breath, his expression brimming with intense curiosity.
Aether, who was still fixated on the spot where the massive aircraft had landed, slowly turned to regard Ethan with a calm expression.
"Well, since you're so eager to know, let me enlighten you," Aether replied, his demeanor now composed, a notable contrast to his previous expressions.
"The aircraft is a new technology developed by the Arcana Federation with the codename Pegasus 1. It serves as a mothership designed to transport a significant number of Dremon robots. In the event of a conflict with the Martians and their Genesis robots, this mothership enables the human army to deploy multiple Dremon units simultaneously to engage the Genesis forces," Aether explained, his tone devoid of emotion, leaving Ethan feeling a sense of unease.
Ethan slowly turned to observe Aether's face, which now bore a chilling expression, as though the sight of the large aircraft had triggered unsettling memories or emotions.
"I see. I never expected the Arcana Federation to develop technology like this," Ethan remarked with admiration in his voice.
In truth, as the son of the Federation minister, Ethan should have been privy to information about the Pegasus 1 aircraft.
However, his carefree nature and lack of interest in Federation matters had left him in the dark about its development.
Aether shook his head in response after providing Ethan with an explanation.
His gaze momentarily fell, revealing a hint of discomfort linked to certain memories.
"Alright, let's proceed further," Aether said, raising his head to notice that people had already started entering the inner courtyard of the palace.
Upon hearing this, Ethan, standing beside him, snapped back to attention and nodded eagerly.
"Agreed, let's head in!"
Soon, the two of them walked into the inner field of the palace, where the agreement would be carried out.
