Heartache

"Are you telling me… That those children ended up here because of me?" Teresia immediately started to blame herself.

Heinrich shook her head, "No." He said, "It is their fault that they ended up here. Why would it be your fault?" He tried to reassure her.

Teresia whimpered, "But you would not go to the far future if it were not for my medicine…"

"It is still their fault," Heinrich reassured her. "In that timeline, the mountains where the wormhole exists are considered off-limits. They knew it better than anyone else, yet they followed me."

Teresia shook her head and buried her head in her knees. Heinrich exhaled. He stood up and walked closer to Teresia, sitting down beside her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her toward himself.

"Listen to me." Heinrich said softly, "I know what bothers you." He added. "You know I will never hate you for anything, right?" He asked.

Teresia cried, "Then why did you walk away earlier?"
