In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him.

“What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. 

“You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” 

“I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” 

“I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.”

“What does that mean?” 

“That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.”

Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. 

Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. 

The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. 

“L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. 

“Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?”

Eternal Castle

The maids helped the Princess dress up. She had been wandering in her sleeping gown for too long. Now, the maids were busy layers her with endless articles of clothes. They dolled her up in an instant. It wasn't because she suddenly got enlightened by Heinrich's words. It was because Heinrich had summoned her and Killian.

After getting dressed, she left her room, where Killian had already been waiting. He escorted her to Heinrich's room. They knocked at his door and waited outside. He called them inside after some time.

"We are here, Master," Killian said respectfully.

Although Killian disliked Heinrich, he prioritized their situation and respected Heinrich. After witnessing Heinrich killing the late Holy Roman Emperor, Killian knew how puny their lives were for him. To protect the Princess, he had to put on a facade and respect Heinrich.

Heinrich stood up and grabbed a big vase from the table, "Let us set out to scatter these, shall we?"
