In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him.

“What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. 

“You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” 

“I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” 

“I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.”

“What does that mean?” 

“That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.”

Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. 

Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. 

The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. 

“L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. 

“Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?”

Eternal Castle

The Princess pulled herself away in an instant. The impulsive kiss lasted for seconds only. Heinrich had a surprised expression on his face, not because the Princess had kissed him out of nowhere, but because she was burning in all shades of red.

"Did you miss me this much?" Heinrich chuckled before turning away to resume cooking.

The Princess pressed her lips together. She had never done this before. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. Her servant in Miraculum, Maya, had only taught her so much.

Heinrich looked back at her, "What?" He asked playfully, "Look at your face!" He exclaimed in amusement.

The Princess cupped her face in her hands in embarrassment, glancing around the room. She watched Heinrich setting up the table with a constant smile on his face. It almost reminded her of how grim Heinrich looked in the future. He must've gone through a lot of things to end up that way.
