In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him.

“What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. 

“You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” 

“I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” 

“I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.”

“What does that mean?” 

“That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.”

Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. 

Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. 

The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. 

“L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. 

“Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?”

Eternal Castle

The Princess narrowed her eyes. She remembered clearly that Heinrich was the one who told her about the Hoover family.

"Where did you learn that from?" Heinrich asked, "It sounds like folklore."

The Princess tilted her head in confusion. "Why do you think so?"

Heinrich chuckled, "If I am not wrong, Goddess Athena was a deity of warfare. The Hoover family are a bunch of doctors." He murmured, "Why would the Goddess give rise to a family useless to her?"

The Princess frowned, "I do not think doctors are useless to a Goddess of warfare." She murmured, "If this is your reason for declaring it folklore, then I suggest we look into it further."

"Elisa," Heinrich called her in a low tone, "Why are you suddenly interested in the Hoover family?" He asked.

The Princess's eyes widened, "W-Would you not be interested if you heard that they are the descendants of a Goddess?"

Heinrich chuckled, "That is true. I would be interested."
