In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him.

“What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. 

“You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” 

“I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” 

“I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.”

“What does that mean?” 

“That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.”

Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. 

Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. 

The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. 

“L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. 

“Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?”

Eternal Castle

The days passed slowly. Killian and Agneth had to take multiple breaks along the way due to Agneth's health. It made everything slower. Although Killian didn't mind the slow journey, he remained worried about the overall plan.

Agneth was sitting by a tree, warming her hands by using the campfire Killian had lit. Killian watched the distance to see if the place was safe to stay. Fortunately, they hadn't encountered many wild animals along the way. A boar they had encountered was later hunted by them. They made use of its meat efficiently. It wasn't so bad. It was only worrisome.

"Killian," Agneth called him, making him turn toward her, "You should come and take a seat. How long will you watch guard? Come here. You need to save energy," She lectured in a polite yet worried tone.

Killian nodded and walked closer to her, sitting beside the campfire. The cracking fire was warm and musty.
