Gustave walked to the side of the car and placed Aleena's suitcase in the backseat. Then, he opened the car door for them.
Aleena was still waiting for his answer in shock. "Are you serious? You're moving too fast. Do you really want things to progress quickly?"
Gustave glanced at Darlene ambiguously and then leaned over to tighten the man's coat she was wearing. Then, he glanced at Aleena. "Can't you tell?"
Without waiting for her reply, he got into the driver's seat and drove off.
Sitting in the back seat, Aleena scrutinized Darlene from head to toe in disbelief.
The weather in Baltimore was getting colder and colder. Darlene's immunity had always been lower than that of ordinary people because of the heart transplant she received two years ago.
Although it was not yet winter, she had already put on a down jacket and Gustave's coat.
