Chapter 522 A Great Miscalculation

Avery lowered his gaze. His voice tinged with guilt and helplessness.

"I know it's meaningless. Whatever I do, I can't make up for what I did wrong or win you back. But, Darlene, at this point, I really don't know what else I can do."

He didn't want to leave this place, Darlene, and Cade.

Even when facing her obvious cold words and attitude, he still hoped that he could stay a little longer beside them, watching over the mother and son in silence.

Without looking at him, Darlene kept her gaze towards Cade, and continued in a calm voice, "You know me well. When I made up my mind about you, nobody's persuasion could change it. Even if I was diagnosed with a terminal illness, I still wanted to keep that child. But now I have given up and don't want you anymore. It's the same. No matter what you do, it's meaningless. No one can persuade me. I won't turn back."

Avery lowered her voice. "I know, I know that."
