Beth's POV
Perhaps we made too much noise while we were searching in the room. As a result, they found that we were hiding there. What should we do? I subconsciously looked at Aaron. As our gazes met, my heart stopped fluttering. Instead, I calmed down, surrounded by a sense of security. I walked over to Aaron, and the three of us stared at the door while standing next to each other.
Boom! With the sound of electric current, the entire castle was relighted, and the lights in the room were lit up as well. The bright light glared, making our eyes a bit unadapted.
There was a whistle outside the door, which was very frivolous and carried a bit of provocation. Before any of us could react, the locked door collapsed with a loud bang. The man in a black cloak stepped on the broken door, walked towards us step by step with an evil domineering air, bared his sharp fangs, and smiled sinisterly. He stared at us and said, "There you are at last."
