Chapter 7

"That's right!"

Greg was not well-known in the Dragon Lake Villa before, but everyone knew him since he had divorced.

At this time, Dean saw the message and immediately replied:

"It's not his. It's his new girlfriend's car, and that woman is pretty and wealthy."

"Huh. So he's a gold digger."

As soon as they learned that Greg was a gold digger, the people who were surprised all showed disdain.

However, most people were jealous, including Dean.

Every man wanted to be a gold digger if they could have a girlfriend who was pretty and rich.

Greg blocked the group chat, so he didn't know everyone was talking about him.

Seeing Alice walk into the kindergarten, he drove directly to the company.

Along the way, all the other cars kept a distance from him for fear of a rear-end or something.

When he arrived at the company, Greg parked his car in the parking lot and walked towards the gate.

The Hope Company was a relatively large advertising company in this city. He had been working for about two years but was still an ordinary salesman.

Greg entered the sales department. Soon, a beauty in her twenties appeared in front of him.

She had long hair and was wearing a black suit. Her temperament was cold, her skin was fair, and she was obviously beautiful.

She was Elsa Mandel, one of the sales team leaders, and Greg was a member of her team.

Elsa slammed Greg's desk. Her hand was fair and delicate, and she frowned while exuding a cold aura.

"Why didn't you come to work yesterday?"

Greg and Clara went to get a divorce and forgot to ask for a day off.

"I had something to deal with."

Elsa was very dissatisfied. How dare he be so indifferent after being absent for a whole day? Did he want to keep his job or not?

"What's the reason? You must explain!"

"Divorce."

Elsa was slightly taken aback, and then her eyes softened.

She knew a bit of Greg's family situation, so it was reasonable to be absent because of divorce.

"Fine. Next time, you must tell me in advance, no matter what."

"Okay."

Greg could have resigned, but he was used to working.

Elsa had just returned to her desk when Doris entered the sales department with a file bag.

Noah's girlfriend, Doris, was in the same company as Greg. She was also in the sales department and was the secretary of the director, Steven Miller.

She slammed the bag on the table and glanced at Elsa.

"Ms. Mandel, Mr. Miller gave this case to you and asked you to finish it within a week!"

Elsa opened the document and immediately frowned. The salespeople from other groups, as well as Greg, also stepped forward to take a look.

"Oh, dear... It's the case of the Gloria Company."

"This order is worth millions of dollars. Our best team couldn't get it done within a month. How could Elsa and her team be able to do this?"

"That's right. And it has to be done within a week. It's impossible!"

"It's said that Mr. Miller has chased after Elsa for a long time. Is he going to take action?"

The onlookers kept talking about it.

Greg felt that something must be wrong.

Steven, the director, was a well-known old perv who often harassed the female staff in the department. It was said that many staff members couldn't bear the pressure and obeyed him.

Typically speaking, it was impossible to complete the order of Gloria Company within a week, no matter which group was responsible for it.

Therefore, Mr. Miller gave it to Elsa for a reason.

Elsa looked pale. "Ms. Chamber, are you sure?"

Doris rolled her eyes and said, "Of course. This is a direct order from Mr. Miller."

"In addition, he also said that your team has had the worst quarterly performance. If you can't complete this task, you will all be fired. The company doesn't need useless people!"

"You..."

Elsa was angry. The performance of her group became the worst for a reason.

The other groups were full of elite staff, and each of them had at least six members. However, her group only had her and Greg.

However, she had already planned to quit because this order was too hard.

Seeing Elsa's expression, Doris felt delighted and said in a strange tone, "Someone should be fired, or they might become a disaster. What's the point of being good-looking? They can't do anything except for seducing men."

Then, Doris came to Greg with a smile.

"Greg, can you give me some other cosmetics?"

Yesterday, Greg bought ten bottles of MZ perfume, so Doris thought he liked to show off and pretend to be rich.

"Don't worry. I will repay you. If you can't finish this order, I will say something nice for you and ask Mr. Miller to keep you as the team leader."

Although Greg now had a lot of money, there was no reason to buy more cosmetics for Doris.

Obviously, Doris wanted to fool him.

"No." Greg rejected Doris.

Doris crossed her arms and snorted coldly. "Then don't blame me for not helping you when you are fired."

"Maybe other groups can't get this order done, but we can."

"We don't need a week. We can get this order before we get off work today!"

Greg raised his head and glanced at Doris. He was full of confidence, which stunned the entire sales department.

But immediately, the sales department roared with laughter, Reg Wilson, the leader of the best sales team, couldn't stop laughing.

"Ms. Mandel, your team is full of talent. In terms of bragging, our elite team can't compare with you!"

"Mr. Wilson, I guess the entire department can't compare with them." Doris also snorted coldly.

The sales department laughed again.

The other employees also came over as they heard the laughter.

Elsa felt her cheeks burning, and she was so ashamed. At this moment, she wished she could hide in the closet.

This was so embarrassing.

Seeing that there were quite a lot of onlookers, Reg became even more excited.

"Greg, if you can get this order done today, I'll call you Dad!"
