Chapter 13

After suffering, Hayley became quiet.

She got up from the ground without saying a word and took Jack's hand, running away from the kindergarten.

A little girl with twin ponytails said in a childish voice, "Grandma, that lady is not as good as me. I don't even wet my pants now."

Her grandmother was afraid that they would get involved and quickly covered her mouth, saying nervously, "Don't talk nonsense."

Beacher returned to Greg and cupped his hands together. "Mr. Donnie."

The other men also clasped their hands and shouted respectfully, "Good evening, Mr. Donnie!"

Although Greg didn't know the identity of Beacher, he felt the latter was connected to the underground world.

The only person who knew his identity in the city was Luther.

The suspicious gazes of the surrounding people as well as Erin's weird eyes embarrassed Greg, who felt helpless.

Seeing many children crying in fright and even Alice hugging his legs nervously, Greg said angrily to Beacher, "Do you work for Luther? Can't you choose a better place to meet me?"

"I'm sorry."

"Get out of here."

Beacher waved his hand, and the men left the kindergarten one by one.

Before leaving, Beacher handed Greg a business card.

Greg glanced at it.

Beacher Special Security Company, Chairman, Beacher.

Beacher named his company after his own name. He was straightforward.

Greg lifted Alice and said apologetically to Erin, "Miss Erin, I'm really sorry. Those men were rude and caused trouble for the kindergarten."

"It... it's okay." Erin was bewildered.

"I'll leave with Alice. I'll send her to school on time next Monday."

Looking at Greg's back, Erin's impression of him got even worse.

In the morning, Greg drove a borrowed car to show off, and in the evening, he called a group of gangsters to come to the kindergarten.

It seemed that she should make a home visit, lest Alice was affected by him.

Greg took Alice home.

He found an ice pack and put it on her face, but she did not want to cooperate with him.

After treating her face and bathing her, Greg decided not to make supper. He would take Alice out for dinner. Anyway, he was not short of money now.

He asked Alice what she liked for dinner, and she said she wanted to eat beef.

Greg thought about it and decided to take her to eat steak.

He drove directly to the city center.

King Restaurant was the most expensive restaurant in Bianca City.

They used to be poor and hadn't been to such a high-end restaurant. Now that they were not short of money, they would make up for what they had missed. Greg led Alice into the restaurant and glanced at the menu. He ordered two most expensive steaks and some special drinks.

The waiter was surprised. The father and daughter looked ordinary, but they spent money recklessly.

The waiter started to get a table for Greg.

When Greg saw there were too many customers, he asked, "Do you have a private room?"

"Yes, sir. This way, please."

The private rooms of King Restaurant were usually available for members only, but those customers who spent a lot of money could use the private rooms even if they were not members.

After entering the private room, Greg saw that Alice's hair was messed up, so he was about to tie up her hair.

Before he was through, the door to the room was pushed open loudly.

Alice was startled. Even Greg's heart skipped a beat.

Looking back, Greg saw a bald man in his forties or fifties putting his hands in his pockets and a young woman in her twenties holding his arm.

The young woman wore a red dress, which flattered her seductive figure, especially the curves on her chest.

The two of them entered the room together, followed by the waiter.

The waiter quickly stepped in front of them and said awkwardly, "Sir, this private room is taken."

"I don't care. Do you know I'm a diamond member and have the privilege to use any private rooms?" The bald man showed a blue card.

Diamond members were eligible for a cumulative consumption of two million, or a one-time top-up of one million.

It was the top member of King Restaurant.

When the waiter saw the diamond membership card, his expression changed immediately, and he hurriedly apologized to the bald man.

"Can you help me drive people out now?"

"No problem."

The waiter said to Greg, "I'm sorry, sir. According to the restaurant rules, you have to give up this room to the diamond member."

Greg didn't expect to be disturbed at dinner.

"What kind of rules? I came here first. First come, first serve," Greg said sullenly.

The young woman wore a surprised expression and said in amazement, "Greg? Why, it's you!"

In fact, Greg recognized Jolin when she entered the room.

It turned out the rumor that she had a sugar daddy was real.

After recovering from her shock, Jolin wore a warning expression.

"Greg, you should do the right thing. Give us the private room. You don't fit in such a luxurious place."

"I don't fit in? Who can? I also spent money."

"Of course, this is a place for me and my husband. Do you know who my husband is? He's Robin Pope, the chairman of Casa Company. He has at least hundreds of millions."

Jolin hugged the bald man tightly and glanced at Greg with contempt in her eyes.

She thought, "A loser who goes to work on an electric bike must order the cheapest steak. It's cheeky of him to take a big private room."

"I don't think he fits in better than me."

Greg was amused. The man had only hundreds of millions, but he was arrogant.

He couldn't help thinking of the two billion dollars in his bank card.

Jolin snorted and said, "Stop playing dumb here. My darling has a diamond membership card. If you don't get out, we will have you thrown out."

"Go ahead."

"How arrogant! You ask for it."

Robin found Greg insolent and shouted at the waiter, "Go and ask your manager to come here."

The waiter felt that he could not solve this problem, so he quickly went out to find the restaurant manager.

Charles Brook, chairman of King Company, happened to come to this branch today for an on-the-spot inspection.

Charles passed by and saw the anxious waiter. He went up to make an inquiry and spotted the familiar face in the private room.
