Chapter 15

She was surprised to see Greg enter the private room.

Generally, only members are eligible to use the private rooms in King Restaurant.

The lowest-level members had to spend at least 100, 000 dollars to get the membership.

It seemed Greg was rich.

Isabel thought, "Elsa, you secretly found a rich man and dared to hide it from me. Let me go back and deal with you."

After dinner, Greg led his daughter downstairs to pay the bill.

When he was about to leave, he saw a group of people gathering in the hall. There seemed to be a clash. At first, he was not interested, but he accidentally saw Isabel among them.

Isabel was depressed.

Today was her birthday, so she brought two roommates over to celebrate.

After she followed Greg, she came back to find several men sitting at her table.

They are a group of rich young men at school.

The leader was named Dale Jenkins, who hung out with his buddies and even organized a small group.

At school, he was notorious for making advances to girls.

At the beginning of this semester, it was said that Dale got a girl pregnant.

What Isabel hated the most were these scumbags.

Dale had taken a fancy to her recently. He followed her everywhere like an annoying fly.

Isabel couldn't help cursing, "Dale, are you sick? Why have you been following me?"

"Isabel, I know today is your birthday."

Dale was handsome and unruly. Those girls who didn't know him were easily fascinated by his appearance and family background.

His father, John Jenkins, was the chairman of a utensil company, which was a leading enterprise in the utensil industry in Bianca City with a market value of more than one billion dollars.

Dale took out a small box and opened it. There was a sparkling necklace in it.

"I bought this for you."

Isabel didn't even bother to look.

"Take it away. I don't care for it."

Her roommate Jesse White was envious. Jesse was also pretty and didn't think Isabel was better than he. She failed to understand why Dale didn't fancy her. Otherwise, she could marry into a wealthy family.

"Isabel, Dale is sincere. Why don't you take the gift?"

"You can take it if you want."

Jesse looked embarrassed. She wanted to have the gift, but it was not intended for her.

Isabel was angry. She didn't expect Jesse to speak for Dale.

Isabel looked around and spotted Greg. She seemed to see the light of hope.

She went straight to Greg and held his arm, leaning against him under the doubtful gazes.

Greg was stunned. He didn't know what was going on.

Besides, Isabel was not a child. The physical contact embarrassed him. He subconsciously wanted to keep a distance from her.

"You are..." Greg hastily pushed Isabel away.

But Isabel held her even harder and gave him a pleading look, saying in a subdued voice, "You're my sister's boyfriend. Please do me a favor."

Greg paused. Why did she say he was her sister's boyfriend? It seemed he failed to clear up the misunderstanding.

It was urgent, and he saw that Isabel was in trouble. After all, she was Elsa's younger sister. He had to help her.

Greg nodded and asked, "What shall I do?"

"Just cooperate with me."

After saying that, Isabel took Greg's hand and returned to the table.

"This is my boyfriend."

Everyone was instantly stunned.

Greg smiled wryly. As expected, he was taken as a shield.

There was another roommate named Cindy Leigh.

Cindy was a good-looking girl with short hair. She was an athletic student. Although she was young, she had a curvy figure.

Cindy said with surprise, "Isabel, are you kidding? He looks ten years older than us. You are not deceived by him, are you?"

"Cindy, I am not deceived. We love each other."

Jesse was dumbfounded. The man in front of them wore shabby clothes. Most importantly, he had a child.

Was Isabel out of her mind? Did she choose a married old man over the handsome and rich Dale?

A chubby guy next to Dale couldn't help but say, "Isabel, you have to find someone decent to pretend to be your boyfriend. I don't believe it!"

The chubby man was Harry Lamb.

Although he was also rich, his family was inferior to that of Dale in terms of money and power, so he was one of Dale's henchmen.

"Isabel, I know you can't accept me right now, but you shouldn't find a man like this to put me off," Dale smiled and said. Jesse was enchanted, her eyes full of affection.

"Believe it or not, this is my boyfriend. We have slept together."

Isabel turned to Greg and said, "Darling, right?"

Greg blushed. What was Isabel talking about? His daughter was with them.

However, he had to act with Isabel to help her out.

Greg cleared his throat and held Isabel's hand. "Yes, I'm dating Isabel."

Isabel felt strange when Greg held her hand with his big and strong palm. Recalling what she had said just now, she somehow blushed.

"No way, Isabel, you..." Cindy couldn't believe it.

Although Jesse was surprised, she soon became happy because Dale would stop chasing Isabel, which meant she had a chance.

At first, Dale didn't believe it, but when he saw Isabel's blush, he did.

What a slut!

Dale said angrily, "Isabel, you really have bad taste. You actually choose such an old man."

Harry echoed, "That's right. Dale has a deep affection for you. How can you do this to him?"

"I can choose whatever man I like. It's none of your business," Isabel retorted.

Greg said sullenly, "You guys have disturbed our dinner. If you don't leave, I'll ask the restaurant manager to come and drive you away."

Dale stood up and said angrily, "This is not the end. Isabel, I won't spare you and your boyfriend."

"Go away!"

"Let's go!" Dale waved his hand.

Before they left, Harry looked back and said ferociously, "You dare to offend Dale. You will pay for it."

Greg chuckled. He didn't take the threat of these brats seriously at all.

Jesse glanced at the back of Dale and said, "Isabel, it's getting late. I'll go back first."

Jesse was only thinking about Dale. He was frustrated by Isabel, and she had to seize the opportunity.

Cindy also said, "Isabel, I'll go back too."

"Okay, see you at school on Monday."

"Bye."

Although Cindy had many questions, she couldn't ask Isabel now because of Greg.

After the two girls left, Greg took his arm away from Isabel and said, "Come on. I've helped you solve it. You should go home now."

"Darling... No. Aren't you going to take me back?"

"Why should I do that? You're a grownup and can go back by yourself!"

Isabel pursed her mouth and snorted. "You're heartless. You took away my first, but you treat me like this?"

Greg hurriedly covered Alice's ears and said helplessly, "Don't talk nonsense. There is nothing between us."

"I'm telling the truth. I never got in close contact with men before, let alone call them darling and hold their hands."

"You've taken away my many firsts."

So this was what she meant.

"We were acting just now. You asked me for help."

"I don't care. If you don't send me back, I'll tell my sister that you bully me!"

Alice blinked her watery eyes and looked at them with confusion on her lovely face.
