Chapter 16

Greg felt he got into big trouble after helping Isabel out of her trouble.

He said helplessly, "Okay, I'm unlucky. I'll drive you back."

They went up to the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Isabel never thought it was Greg's car.

When Greg opened the car door, Isabel froze.

She guessed that Greg was a rich man, but she didn't expect him to be so rich.

"Wow, you're so rich, my sister's boyfriend. The car is costly!"

"Stop it. Your sister and I are only friends."

"What's your name?"

With that, Isabel took a good look at it. She had never had the opportunity to observe this model of car so closely.

Given this opportunity today, she would satisfy her curiosity.

"My name is Greg Donnie."

Greg fastened his seat belt and started the car.

"My sister's boyfriend, you have a good name."

Greg felt helpless. All his correction was in vain.

Greg didn't bother to correct her anymore, thinking she didn't take his words seriously.

"Where do you live?"

"Bella Pace Villa. I live with my sister."

Greg knew the location of Bella Pace Villa, which was more expensive than where he was staying now.

The car swiftly drove toward Bella Pace Villa.

Alice and Isabel were in the back seat. On the way, Greg could hear them giggling sometimes.

Greg was curious. He looked in the rearview mirror and saw Isabel whispering jokes with Alice.

In his impression, Alice hadn't been so happy even before the divorce.

They soon arrived at Bella Pace Villa. After Isabel got out of the car, Greg turned the car around to go back.

Isabel smirked and said, "My sister's boyfriend, why don't you go up and sit with us for a while?"

"No, thank you."

Isabel suddenly looked at Alice. Greg had a bad feeling.

"Alice, would you like to come to my home and play? I have many interesting things at home."

"Okay." Alice happily agreed.

Greg frowned and said, "Alice, we should go home."

"Dad, I want to go to Isabel's home and play," said Alice sweetly.

Greg gave in. He couldn't resist his daughter's sweet tone.

The three of them went upstairs.

Elsa had just taken a shower and was only wearing a white bathrobe.

Hearing the knock on the door, she thought it was Isabel.

When she opened the door, she was shocked to see not only Isabel but also Greg and a little girl.

"Greg? Isabel? Why are you two together?"

Right after she spoke, Elsa realized something and hurriedly tightened her bathrobe, closing the door.

After a few minutes, she changed her clothes and opened the door again.

Elsa's pretty face was burning. Although she was wearing a bathrobe and Greg could see nothing, she felt shy.

After inviting Greg and Alice in, Elsa chatted with them and knew what had happened.

Isabel said with a playful smile, "Elsa, he's not a stranger. Why did you close the door just now?"

Knowing that Isabel misunderstood her and Greg, Elsa was annoyed and helpless.

She knew what her sister was like.

Elsa glared at Isabel and said sternly, "Go and do your homework!"

Isabel pouted and reluctantly went back to her room.

Greg rubbed his nose and said, "Ms. Mandel, I'm sorry for disturbing you at such a late hour."

"It's okay."

Elsa smiled, and her eyes fell on Alice, who was holding Greg's leg.

"Is this your daughter? She's cute!"

"Yes, her name is Alice."

Greg stroked Alice's hair and said, "Alice, this is my friend. You can call her Auntie."

"Hello, sister," Alice greeted sweetly.

Her words surprised Greg and Elsa.

Elsa liked Alice at once. She squatted down slightly and opened her arms. "Wow, Alice, you're so sweet. I like you. Can I hug you?"

Like a kitten, Alice threw herself into Elsa's arms.

"Sister, you are so beautiful. You look identical to Isabel. I can't even tell you apart."

Elsa scratched Alice's nose lightly and said, "Alice, you're also pretty."

Following that, Elsa gave Greg a sullen look.

"You're an adult, but Alice is more sensible than you. She calls me Sister instead of Auntie."

Alice echoed, "That's right. Dad is such an idiot."

Greg gave a wry smile. It was sweet of Alice to call Elsa Sister, but that was not right.

The harmony among them gave Greg an indescribable sense of happiness.

Elsa and Alice sat on the sofa. They hugged each other.

Elsa looked at Greg and said earnestly, "Greg, I'm grateful to you. Our team might have been gone if you hadn't signed the contract with Gloria Company."

"You're welcome. I'm part of the team. It's also my job."

"No matter what, I have to thank you." Elsa thought for a while and said, "I'll invite you out for dinner."

"I met your sister at the restaurant just now."

"I forgot. Let me treat you to a few drinks at the bar."

Greg could tell that Elsa didn't want to owe him anything and tried to return his kindness, so he nodded in agreement.

Elsa called out to Isabel and said, "Please look after Alice. Greg and I will go out for a while."

Isabel raised her eyebrows and said with a smirk, "You didn't admit you're Elsa's boyfriend, but now you're going out with her at night. Aren't you dating her?"

"Stop talking nonsense. Take good care of Alice."

"Got it!" Isabel responded and made a grimace at Greg. "It doesn't matter if you and my sister don't come back at night. I will take good care of Alice."

Her words exasperated Elsa.

Seeing that Elsa was about to lose her temper, Isabel swiftly carried Alice to her room.

Elsa could do nothing about Isabel. She went downstairs with Greg.

As they were going to have drinks, they didn't drive and hailed a taxi.

Right after the taxi drove Greg and Elsa away, an unlicensed BMW parked by the roadside for a long time followed it immediately.

The driver was Dale, who gave the warning at the restaurant. Looking at the taxi in front of him, a cold smile slowly crept to his lips.

He said inwardly, "Isabel, I will let you know what happens when you piss me off!"

Not long after Dale drove away, another unlicensed car pulled over outside Elsa's building.

The driver in the car wore a baseball cap and a black mask, which covered his face.

After Greg and Elsa left, Isabel and Alice played hide-and-seek in the room.

After playing for a while, there was a sudden knock on the door. Isabel thought it was Elsa and Greg. She went over to open the door, bewildered. "Elsa, why do you come back so soon?"

After opening the door, Isabel was surprised to see a man with a black mask.

She had a bad feeling and wanted to close the door, but it was too late. A sack wrapped her, and her eyes went dark. She lost her consciousness immediately.

Looking at the unconscious woman in front of him, Steven smiled evilly under the baseball cap.

He thought, "Elsa, I finally get you!"

In the corner of the living room, Alice poked her head and saw what had happened. She was dumbfounded.
