Charles took a few tissues from the box and handed them to Sue. Sue unexpectedly cried. She fell into Charles' arms and hugged him tightly, ignoring the tears falling down her face.
Charles was afraid of girls crying. Seeing Sue crying so hard, Charles was flustered and thought that he had offended Sue.
Charles patted her back and comforted her, "Ms. Lyon, what happened?"
Sue sobbed and said melancholy, "Why? Why do I have to suffer like this?"
Sue paused for a moment and continued crying. "I worked so hard to guarantee my mother a happy retirement life. She raised me painstakingly and never remarried after my father passed. However, her fate is so unfair and she gets sick. Will the weak always suffer?"
Sue vented all the grievances that she had suppressed for a long time.
