Charles arrived home late after sending Sue back. Charles tiptoed to get on the bed when the lights in the living room suddenly lit up.
Rosemary got up from the sofa, turned on the light, and saw that Charles was drenched to the skin. With a frown, Rosemary asked, "Charles, Sophia said that you had left a long time ago. Why did you come back so late? Why are you in such a mess?"
Charles held nothing back from Rosemary. He said that he had run into Sue on the way home and helped her solve the trouble. He also said that it was not easy for Sue, a girl, to struggle in New York City alone.
Hearing Charles out, Rosemary asked with concern, "Did you get hurt?"
"I am fine. Your husband is strong. Nobody can hurt me."
Rosemary rolled her eyes at Charles and said, "Cut that crap! By the way, I didn't know you were a good fighter."
Charles said with sadness, "Honey, you don't care about me. Why don't we sleep in the same bed tonight?"
