Wes’ POV
I slumped against the wall of Dee’s hall, breathing deeply, feeling a little dizzy. Okay, so I can admit when I’m wrong. Maybe it was a bad idea to go directly to her dorm when I’d just recovered from overdosing. Perhaps I should have waited until class tomorrow, just shot her a text so she’d know I hadn’t just bailed on her completely this afternoon.
I had every intention of seeing her! I did!
But Eva—
And then the club—
And then that nightmare with Parker and—
“Ughhh.” Being doubled over was starting to feel like a natural position for me these days as I waited for the world to stop spinning for like five seconds. My stomach warbled an ancient tone that warned that I was two seconds from vomiting my brains out.
Okay, so maybe I shouldn’t have ran to the Uber.
And then ran across her lawn.
And also I should’ve eaten something.
