Chapter 34 : You Disappointment

Wes’ POV

“I just want to know if you have a death wish or not.”

Cameron’s hands are pressed together, only the tips touching, fingers pointing to the floor between his legs. We’re a far cry from Tartarus, somewhere that smells like harsh cleaning products and empty promises. Not a hospital—not nearly enough staff—but there’s a registered nurse checking my vitals, an IV in my hand feeding me back to a more stable condition.

Overdose. That’s what the nurse had said when I’d finally shaken some of the cobwebs out of my head. That I’d overdosed.

“I just want to know if I should be wasting more of my time worrying about you, or if I should just cut my loses and bounce.”

“Fuck, dude.” Manny was by the door, trying not to crowd the room as he drank his coffee. His eyeliner was smeared around his eyes, long hair tied up in a messy bun while he stewed in a sweater I knew belonged to his keyboardist. Too bright to be something Manny would own. “We just got him back.”
