Love on the Lake

When I wake up, I immediately bury my face in my pillows, wanting to go back to sleep. After embarrassing myself with Logan again, I just want to hide from him today. And maybe a few more days, but unfortunately, that would delay everything.


I groan and pull myself out of bed. Waking up in my mom’s old room is weird but I am excited to see my old room finished first, then I can redecorate to my latest style. My grandmother would love it.


I jump in the shower to help wake me up but it just makes me think about my interaction with Logan yesterday. Maybe I can just pretend nothing happened. Technically, nothing did happen but I did try to make something happen.


My eyes flutter close as I step back into the hot stream of water. Of course, the water pouring over me reminds me of yesterday when Logan and I got soaked together. Yikes, I should not think about that in the shower. I turn the shower colder to cool off my thoughts.
