*Juliet*
“Juliet, darling! Oh, how I have missed you.” My mom pulls me close after our group hug, holding on to me for another minute or two.
“I missed you too, Mom,” I mumble into her shoulder.
Both of my parents tower over me, engulfing me in their arms. Mom is my height but she tends to wear heels whenever she can so they add an extra couple of inches to her height. She is almost my twin in every way and age has only made her better.
“Logan was just catching us up on the progress report,” my dad says when Mom finally releases me. My mom gives me a look and I smile. She tries to hide her grin.
“The house looks stunning, darling.”
Mom spins around the room, admiring the new flooring and the new paint on the walls. She goes over to the living room and throws herself onto the new couch with a laugh.
“Absolutely stunning,” she repeats with a grin. “And this couch is so comfortable. I’m so glad you got rid of the old ones. They were way past their expiration.”
