Cursing himself silently, he hurriedly put away his scattered thoughts and then looked up at Jeremy Thompson not far away. "Mr. Thompson, could you please open the door for me? My friend is here to pick me up. They're just outside, on the street in this residential area."

Jeremy Thompson nodded, and without saying anything more, he walked to the door, placed his finger on the sensor, and after five seconds, there came the click of the door finally opening.

"Thank you for your help last night, Mr. Thompson." In keeping with polite principles, Anna still thanked him at the doorway, despite having cursed him in her mind N times.

Jeremy Thompson knew her words didn't match her feelings and his lips curled into a smile that bordered on mockery. Seeing her about to leave, he suddenly asked, "Would you like to have your fingerprint entered as well?"
