Chapter 120: We've all had "Ifs," but there are no "Ifs

The next morning.

A bright red sun hung above the treetops in the east, the mountain stream was alive with crisp bird song, and the air was heavy with the scent of flowers.

Erwin Simpson drew a bucket of clear, cool water from the well atop the mountain, bringing it inside and placing it on a small stone table. He called out warmly, "Ella, time to wash up."

"Thank you."

Ella Lacey dipped her fair hand into the basin, exclaiming in surprise, "The water here in the mountains...it's really different. So cool and refreshing...it tingles against the skin. It feels amazing!"

"Hehe."

Erwin stood beside Ella, tousling his hair. His dazzling eyes reflected the morning light like tiny stars. His lips curled in a radiant smile, and his tall figure was incredibly captivating.

A natural heartthrob, indeed!

What a pity, Ella was not impressed.

She didn't pay any attention to Erwin's charm, instead focusing on stirring the clear water in the basin to wash her face.
