At night, Dion Chadwick brought the chicken soup he had cooked at home to the hospital. Seeing Ellen Williams's war comrades present, he did not enter immediately, but quietly waited outside the door.
"Ellen, I've been chasing you for so many years, and you've never acquiesced, always saying you have a boyfriend. I thought you were just using it as an excuse, but it turns out it was true."
"So, whelp, will you finally give up this time?"
Outside the door, Dion Chadwick didn't catch any other conversations, but he heard these two sentences very clearly.
He even made a point to see who the man uttering these words was, and then deeply etched his face into his memory.
Soon, several war comrades left the hospital room. They were surprised to see Dion Chadwick, followed by a measure of indignation - they must have guessed that this man heard all their conversation, right?
"Go on, get out of here. We have a mission to get back to."
