His Highness’ Fiery Judgment

cw: death mentioned, just kaiser being kaiser, immolation.

The rescue mission of rescuing the hybrids from the scientists' captive was successfully accomplished, now the only issue to be cleared was the Feigan Desolation. Immediately, The Grand Duke sent his words in the capital and across the Landroich of the new law: The Act for the Prohibition of Illegal Hybrid Breeding, Enslave and Trading.

The Grand Duke wrote such a law in the short time due to his determination to stop this incident immediately, quickly, he searched throughout the hideout if there was a paper and quill in every cell, office or laboratory in the hideout. He luckily found a quill and paper in one of the hideouts that seemed like for breeding and testing with the Hybrids. It was unsightly, but he tried to bear it in order to write the law.

In the cold metal table, as the Silver Hawks awaits by the threshold of the unsightly laboratory, he wrote the legislation:

The Act for the Prohibition of Illegal Hybrid Breeding, Trading, and Enslavement

As he finished writing, The Grand Duke passed it to the Silver Hawk beside him. He started, "Since we'll be creating a Bureau specially for Hybrids, I'll be taking the Silver Hawks in the Bureau, only if they would like to cooperate in the Bureau, if not, we will hire officials or elites." He turned to look at the other Silver Hawk on standby, "Tell me, how many Silver Hawks are here in Feigan? Including the reinforcements."

The Silver Hawk kneeled sternly and replied, "In the total of 200 Silver Hawks, Your Majesty."

"And how many Silver Hawks are with us?" The Grand Duke asked.

When asked about their numbers and willingness to cooperate, the Silver Hawk kneeled once more, his voice unwavering as he provided the information. "In the total of 200 Silver Hawks, Your Majesty," he stated, "Seventy comrades are currently with us."

"I'm aiming for a hundred staff." The Grand Duke hummed as he continued, "while a Silver Hawk's background may not be the typical profile for a government bureau employee, it's possible for you and your comrades to find a suitable role if their skills and qualifications align with the specific requirements of the position. The key is to assess the match between the Silver Hawk's abilities and the bureau's needs and, if necessary, I will provide any additional training or education to bridge any gaps."

As he was pacing back and forth, he turned again to look, "Only if they are willing."

The Grand Duke's aim for a hundred staff was met with a nod of understanding. The Silver Hawks were not only skilled in combat but possessed a range of talents and qualifications that could be put to good use in a government bureau. They had always been loyal to their leader and their kingdom, and the opportunity to continue serving in a new capacity was met with a sense of duty and honor.

One of the Silver Hawks stepped forward, his voice filled with determination, "Your Majesty, we are deeply honored by your offer," he began, "We have always served with unwavering loyalty, and we would be honored to continue that service in this new bureau, dedicated to the well-being and protection of hybrids. We will do whatever it takes to ensure their safety and happiness."

"Very well," The Grand Duke remarked, "Ask your other comrades outside for the offer, they are free to refuse."

The Silver Hawk nodded in acknowledgment of the Grand Duke's decision. He knew that while he and his comrades were ready to embrace this new endeavor, each Silver Hawk had their own perspective and considerations. The offer was extended, but the choice to join the newly formed bureau was a personal one, and no one would be coerced into it.

With a respectful bow, the Silver Hawk turned and left the room, heading outside to where his fellow comrades were waiting. The Silver Hawk stepped outside the hideout where Arama and the others settled after freeing the Marinettes in the river, his comrades waiting expectantly. They could sense the gravity of the situation and were eager to hear the details of the offer presented by their leader.

As he addressed his fellow Silver Hawks, his voice was measured and clear, carrying the weight of the decision they were about to make, "Listen carefully, my comrades," he began, "His Majesty has made an offer to us. He plans to create a special bureau dedicated to the well-being and protection of hybrids, and he has offered us the opportunity to join this bureau if we so choose."

He continued to explain the Grand Duke's vision for the bureau, emphasizing its importance in ensuring the safety and happiness of hybrids within the kingdom, "His Majesty values our skills and loyalty," he added, "but this decision is a personal one. You are free to accept or refuse the offer without consequence."

The Silver Hawks exchanged glances, each considering their own thoughts and feelings about this new path. They were a tight-knit group, bound by their shared experiences and unwavering loyalty to the Grand Duke. The decision they were about to make would shape their future roles in the kingdom and their contributions to the cause of justice and compassion.

One by one, the Silver Hawks began to express their thoughts and intentions, some nodding in agreement with the offer, while others deliberated quietly. The decision was theirs to make, and they would do so with the same dedication and commitment that had defined their service thus far.

In the present 70 Silver Hawks with them, 58 agreed to work with the bureau, while the other 12 Silver Hawks chose to protect the Grand Duke.

It was then reported right after the Grand Duke and the 2 other Silver Hawks exited the hideout, a comrade of them rushed in front of the Grand Duke and kneeled, kneeling in front of the Grand Duke in such rush meant for a new report, so the knight quickly reported, "All of the hybrids we rescued, one of them died," he said with a hint of sorrow in his tone, "the hybrid is the one who was specifically rescued by His Majesty."

The news hit the Grand Duke like a sudden, sharp blow to the chest. He had just made a commitment to protect and provide a brighter future for the hybrids, and now, to hear that one of the very hybrids he had personally rescued had not survived was a devastating blow.

His lavender eyes darkened with grief and guilt as he looked at the knight who had delivered the sorrowful news. It was a heavy burden to bear, knowing that despite their best efforts, they hadn't been able to save every life.

That hybrid is dead..?

"..What's the cause of the death?" The Grand Duke asked.

"According to the medics, it's most likely the hybrid's trachea is crushed, he was choked before he was even saved and a large amount of blood loss from his bottom." The Silver Hawk replied.

The Grand Duke's brows knitted immediately, it's because of that damned scientist! He thought. He felt a load of emotion all at once, and his demeanor switched off the thought. As if, a tyrant was about to abuse his power again.

"Where is the damned scientist we spared?" The Grand Duke's anger and frustration were palpable, his lavender eyes darkened with righteous fury. The news of the hybrid's brutal and senseless death had ignited a burning determination within him to hold those responsible accountable for their heinous actions.

The Silver Hawk who had delivered the report quickly replied, "Your Majesty, the scientist is being held in the small cabin, he was tied in tough materials of wood inside the cabin, He can't escape without his hands. We await Your Majesty's orders."

Without wasting another moment, the Grand Duke turned on his heel and strode purposefully in the direction of the scientist's location. The Silver Hawks followed closely behind, their expressions hidden behind their masks but their resolve unwavering.

The scientist, who had played a part in the suffering and death of the hybrid, would face justice for their crimes, and the Grand Duke would ensure that every life lost would be avenged.

There was a small cabin hidden by the trees, there, he slammed the door open. The door to the small cabin burst open with a resounding crash, revealing the Grand Duke's imposing figure framed in the doorway. The scientist's eyes immediately caught the sight of the Grand Duke's bloodied white blouse, which fueled his fear. The Grand Duke's plum eyes blazed with fury, and his presence filled the room with an overwhelming sense of authority.

Inside the cabin, the scientist who had played a role in the suffering and death of the hybrid stood trembling, their face drained of color. They had likely heard the commotion outside and knew that their reckoning had come. "Y-Your Majesty.." The scientist addressed him, his voice faltering due to fear.

The Silver Hawks followed the Grand Duke into the cabin, forming a protective barrier around their leader. Their masked faces remained expressionless, but their readiness for action was evident.

The Grand Duke's voice was cold and unwavering as he addressed the trembling scientist, "Murder, Rape, Illegal experiment without the permit of Landroich Bureau of Natural Resources and Hybrids, Child Labor and Slavery, Child Abuse, those are the crimes you've committed, and I'm afraid we'll no longer take you in the prison, but in hell."

"Y-Your Majesty! S-S-S-Spare me..!" The scientist kowtowed, "But.. T-This bureau, I've ne-never heard of it.."

The Grand Duke snorted, "Obviously you hadn't, because I just created it recently." He added, "Your pleas for mercy will not save you from the justice you deserve. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for your crimes."

"But, Your Majesty, this is an unfair treatment!" The scientist boldly demanded despite he's trembling out of fear, "I've never known that this bureau existed, and only was created right after I was being seized, this is unfair. Your Majesty, is this how you treat your citizens??"

"Unfair treatment?" the Grand Duke repeated, his tone laced with a hint of contempt, "You speak of fairness after the horrors you've inflicted upon innocent hybrids? Are you out of your mind, or the desperate urge to protect yourself even though your sins are unforgivable blinded you to such an audacity?"

The scientist's defiance grew stronger in the face of the Grand Duke's contemptuous words. Their eyes flashed with anger, and they responded with a heated determination of their own.

"Your Majesty, you claim to champion justice, but what of my rights?" the scientist retorted, their voice shaking with anger, "I demand a fair trial, the opportunity to defend myself, and to be judged by a court of law, not by your arbitrary judgment."

What a joke, at this point, no one is willing to be an attorney to protect this idiot's rights.

The Silver Hawks behind the Grand Duke exchanged uneasy glances as the argument escalated. They had seen the horrors inflicted upon the hybrids, but they were also bound by their duty to uphold the law.

The Grand Duke's patience wore thin unlike the scientist's face as he shot back, "Your rights? You forfeited any claim to rights when you committed those atrocities. Do you think the hybrids you tormented had any rights? Your demand for fairness is laughable in the face of your crimes."

The tension in the cabin reached a boiling point as the Grand Duke and the scientist clashed in a battle of wills, each determined to defend their stance with unwavering resolve while the Silver Hawks were on standby.

"No wonder why your citizens speak shit about you!" The scientist shouted, "You're nothing but an indeed tyrant out of their free-loading mouth."

The scientist's accusation hit a nerve with the Grand Duke, and his eyes blazed with anger. His voice remained cold, but it was laced with a dangerous edge, "You dare insult not only me but the very principles of justice and decency?" the Grand Duke replied, his voice low and seething. "Your crimes have left no room for mercy, and your attempt to slander me will not change the fact that you will face the consequences of your actions."

The Silver Hawks in the cabin stood ready, their masked faces betraying no emotion, but their loyalty to their leader was unwavering. The heated exchange between the Grand Duke and the scientist had reached a critical point, and the fate of the scientist hung in the balance.

"You want to see the tyrant?" He asked, his voice dripping with malevolent intent, "I'll show you the tyrant."

His hand waved in a gesture, and a Silver Hawk took a step forward to the Grand Duke. The Grand Duke leaned backwards and whispered, "Bring me matches and tie the sinner tightly to the chair. This tyrant is about to commit arson."

The tension in the cabin escalated further as the Grand Duke issued his chilling command. The Silver Hawk nodded and swiftly left the cabin, returning moments later with a box of matches and securing the scientist firmly to a chair.

The scientist's eyes widened in fear as they realized the gravity of the situation. The Grand Duke's cold and unwavering demeanor left no doubt that he was prepared to carry out his threat.

As the Grand Duke struck a match, a sinister smile crept across his face. He held the flaming match dangerously close to a pile of papers on the table nearby, and the room filled with the acrid smell of burning paper.

The scientist's pleas for mercy grew frantic as the flames inched closer to the papers, while the burning match went close to the papers as the Grand Duke crouched, a sinister smile from the Grand Duke illuminated before the flames of the match.

"I'm afraid there'll be no fair trials for you, because this is how you'll pay for the crimes you've committed." With that said, the Grand Duke purposely dropped a stick of the flaming match. The flames immediately scattered in the scattered papers.

The room erupted in flames as the Grand Duke dropped the flaming match onto the scattered papers. The scientist's screams filled the air as the fire rapidly consumed everything in its path. The Silver Hawks watched in grim silence, their faces hidden behind their masks, as the cabin became a fiery inferno.

The flames roared to life with a voracious hunger, and the room quickly transformed into a nightmarish inferno. The scientist's screams pierced the air, their agonized cries echoing off the walls in a horrifying chorus of despair.

As the fire consumed the cabin, the temperature inside soared to unbearable levels. The scientist's flesh sizzled and cracked, and the acrid stench of burning flesh filled the room. Their shrieks of pain grew more guttural and desperate, but there was no escape from the relentless blaze.

The Grand Duke's sinister smile remained as he watched the horror unfold, his eyes reflecting the merciless judgment he had delivered. The flames danced in his lavender eyes, casting eerie shadows on his face.

The Silver Hawks, their masked faces still and emotionless, stood as silent witnesses to the gruesome spectacle. The cabin had become a chamber of horrors, and the scientist's fate was sealed in the merciless grip of the fire.

As the fire raged on, the Grand Duke turned away, leaving the cabin behind. The fate of the scientist had been sealed in the fiery judgment of the tyrant they had dared to insult. Justice, however ruthless, had been served.
