Above the Atlantic Ocean, a bright purple light that would make one blind at a glance shone before rapidly dimming out.
The clouds above the area enveloped by the purple light were long gone. Below it, a massive gap had formed before being filled with water instantly.
Cracks lined like webs running through the void where the explosion had occurred.
A tall red man who was covered in glass-like prisms floated above the ocean in the midst of the abnormality.
He was naturally Lu Zheng.
The explosion had caught him unguarded and enveloped but at the final moment, the Vermillion Sacred Prism flew out of his spatial ring and covered him, saving his life.
Lu Zheng swept his soul consciousness all over his body and understood his situation.
~So this is the true protective form of the Vermillion Sacred Prism. Hehe, I almost feel indestructible. Hmm?~
Initially, Lu Zheng had not noticed it but now, he could vaguely sense it.
The space path dao imprints on his body had suddenly become active.
Before, Lu Zheng's space path dao imprints were suppressed by the dao imprints of fire path, wind path, lightning path and ice path. Now however, the space path dao imprints were excessively active.
~This… is this because of the spatial cracks or the space path dao imprints in the Vermillion Sacred Prism. Maybe… ~
Lu Zheng knew that dao imprints of the same path could resonate with one another.
In most cases, the martial practitioner would experience a temporary surge in battle strength.
The Vermillion Sacred Prism contained numerous space path dao imprints. The spatial cracks also radiated dense space Qi.
It was only natural for Lu Zheng's space path dao imprints to resonate with them.
Lu Zheng took a look at the black cracks that surrounded him.
If the spatial cracks were left like this, void beasts could use them as a passage to reach Earth.
It was even possible for the chaos to pour into Earth from the outer void!
Just as Lu Zheng was drowning in his thoughts, a proud female voice resounded in his mind: "Tch! Useless owner! You couldn't even defend yourself against a human at your own cultivation base! You bear shame to the Vermillion Bird Race's Regal Bloodline! Weak! Useless! Foolish!"
"…"
Lu Zheng ignored the voice as space Qi poured from his meridians.
He stopped urging his bloodline power and his body returned to normal. He began mending the spatial cracks.
The explosion that Immortal Star Lord had caused was very strong that it even cracked space.
If the Vermillion Sacred Prism had not saved him, Lu Zheng would have surely died. Not even his ultimate defence of Flame Cloak, thunder energy and wind currents would have made a difference.
After a short while, the spatial cracks were all mended and the black lines had disappeared.
Lu Zheng noticed that his space path abilities had increased by a margin after mending the spatial cracks.
Earlier, the farthest he could have gone while spatial skipping was five hundred metres.
Now, after mending the spatial cracks, he could spatial skip over a thousand metres easily and that was nowhere near his new limits.
A smile formed on Lu Zheng's face as he willed the Vermillion Sacred Prism into his spatial ring and began to travel.
Lu Zheng's cultivation base had risen and he could now use Quick Steps.
Without hesitation, Lu Zheng began to spatial skip as he used Quick Steps.
Combined together, Lu Zheng's speed was outrageous and became first rate among Void Passage realm experts.
Some first tier of Acquisition realm martial practitioners would certainly lose in a competition of speed with Lu Zheng.
Without stopping even once, Lu Zheng reached the shores of North America within days.
…..
North America, Dying Flame Purgatory
Deep in the night in a desert with red sands and little vegetation, five people were walking.
The five comprised of two men and three beasts the size of houses.
The two men wore identical yellow robes. The first had green hair that stood in spikes and wore a white headband that read 'Destroy'. On his waist was a black iron tablet that was attached to a red rope that was tied around his waist. The words 'Third Sky' were engraved on it.
He had a square face and a broad chin that gave one a sense of security. He was only known as Juanfran and was at the third tier of Sky realm.
The other man was short and had black hair.
His blue eyes seemed to carry a tinge of lust and he had a similar headband and iron tablet as Juanfran. His name was Sanchez and his cultivation base was the same as Juanfran's.
The three beasts were all rank five and were innately fire path attributed beasts. Among them was Lu Zheng's beast pet; Themur.
"Firestone Valley should be up ahead" Juanfran spoke all of a sudden.
"Soon, we would be swimming in pools of fire path resources!" Sanchez's tone was fervent.
The rest of the beasts were moved too. They knew that Firestone Valley produced high ranking fire path resources and no one other than the five of them knew of it.
Unknowingly, the five of them had quickened their pace because of Juanfran's words when suddenly, a gigantic six-legged spider jumped out of the red sand!
