Chapter 112: Lu Zheng Dies

Teni and Ose were stunned silly by Old man Gu Li's revelation.

Teni stared at Lu Zheng whom Old man Gu Li and referred to as Spectral Lightning Demon Venerable.

No matter how he looked at it, Lu Zheng was only at the Void Passage realm.

"What about him?" Teni asked.

Old man Gu Li recovered his composure and replied: "A thousand years ago [1], he was killed by Dragon Earth Demon Venerable"

"Long Aotian!" Lightning Deity and Blood Deity gnashed their teeth in obvious anger.

"It is true. I have fallen from my previous state and may never return. However, I am still better off than Heavenly Court's Spirit Snake" Lu Zheng teased Old man Gu Li.

He knew that Heavenly Court's Spirit Snake was Nuwa and that she had died even before him.

"Hmph! You had better watch your tone! You are no more a Venerable!" Old man Gu Li became agitated.

"Stop pretending geezer. We all know you are bluffing" Lightning Deity sneered.

"Don't pretend Old man Gu Li" Blood Deity continued. "You are the greatest fate path expert in the world now. You naturally know of Cao Chupang's greatest prophecy"

Cao Chupang was a fate path Venerable that lived during the Immemorial Antiquity Era. On his death bed, he used the rest of his lifespan to foretell what the future held.

With the rest of his lifespan, Cao Chupang told three prophecies, two of which had come to fulfilment.

"What makes you think that Spectral Lightning Demon Venerable is the one in the prophecy?" Old man Gu Li retorted.

Lightning Deity and Blood Deity shared smiles and ignored Old man Gu Li.

"You want to see the Great Era too?" Old man Gu Li asked again.

Lightning Deity's expression became sorrowful as he turned to face Lu Zheng: "No, we have much more urgent tasks at hand"

Lu Zheng sensed the pain in his voice and was just about to ask when the temperature in the atmosphere dropped significantly.

"He's here" Blood Deity tensed as he stood beside Lu Zheng. "Master, let me protect you"

Lu Zheng was still stumped like the others were speaking in parables. However, the urgency in Blood Deity's tone made it clear to him that there was no time left.

"Hmm" Lu Zheng nodded in the affirmative.

Blood Deity smiled as his form melted into a puddle of blood that began to climb over Lu Zheng's body.

The puddle of blood was already at his neck when a cold laugh called his attention.

"Hahaha! Xue Ritian, today is the day you die completely"

A fair skinned man appeared where the asteroid originally was. His pupils were vertical slits like a dragon's and twin horns jutted from his forehead.

"Long Aotian!" Lu Zheng's expression was riddled with anger.

"No, it is only a wisp of his soul" Old man Gu Li saw through his appearance.

"Yes, but that is enough" Long Aotian smiled as his body transformed into a thread of light that flew towards Lu Zheng.

Lightning Deity jumped in its path only for him to fragment into billions of bolts before dissipating.

Blood Deity had already covered all of Lu Zheng's head except for a small space on his forehead.

The thread of light entered the small space before entering Lu Zheng's Soul Lake and attacking his host soul.

Above Lu Zheng's Soul Lake, his host soul stood as it gazed at itself.

It was covered in numerous web-like cracks that were spreading all over it rapidly.

"Boom!"

The host soul exploded along with Lu Zheng's head and his headless body fell to the ground with a thud.

Blood Deity entered the pores of Lu Zheng's body and disappeared. His will became dormant immediately.

Ose and Teni were stunned by the quick turn of events. By the time they could react, Lu Zheng's headless body had already touched the ground.

Hundreds of octopus-like beings stood in a circle as they surrounded a single man.

The man had pure white skin and his pupils were vertical slits. On his head were two majestic horns that stood out of his blond hair. If a person were to touch his skin, they would notice that it was actually inverted scales.

"Dragon Earth Demon Venerable, please spare our Yakshasha Earth race. We have many earth path cultivation materials that can appease even you" A member of the Yakshasha Earth race pleaded.

"That's a nice offer but… I'm uninterested" The blond haired man smiled.
