Su Haoran walked into a room inside a large pagoda that extended deep into the skies. The room was large and seemed like it could house a hundred people easily.
There was only one person inside.
Su Haoran took off his shoes and walked in his socks. When he walked closer, he could clearly see the person.
It was a woman. She sat on her knees before a small table and was sipping tea. From time to time, she would pick up a brush and write on a large scroll. The words she would write would fly out of the paper and flutter around before flying out the window.
The woman was extremely beautiful and seemed to be in her twenties. Her long black hair was exceptionally rich and seemed to be made from the purest silk. Any man that cast his gaze on her would surely swoon with love.
However, Su Haoran knew better than to judge a martial practitioner by their appearance. The woman before him was a paramount god and had lived for many hundreds of thousands of years. She was also his grandmother and only close relative.
"Greetings, First Supreme Elder" Su Haoran bowed when he reached her front.
"Haoran Er [1], you've finally returned from Western Plains. I told you not to call me by my title" The woman smiled as she gestured to the seating cushion on the other side of the table.
"Grandmother" Su Haoran smiled as he sat.
The woman before him was his grandmother and the First Supreme Elder of Su Clan, Su Guilan.
"How has it been going in Western Plains? I hope the Battle Arena's matches aren't too tough" Su Guilan was full of affection.
"Not at all. Western Plainsmen are very mild people and the people that might cause trouble have been put in their place, except…" Su Haoran's voice lingered.
"Except for what? Or perhaps, who?" Su Guilan cocked her head curiously.
"There is this man. He is a human and is a Void Passage realm expert. Yet, he wields great battle strength and has no problem fighting against Acquisition realm experts…" Su Haoran soon lost his rigid composure and started speaking fluidly with Su Guilan, telling her of the things he had witnessed in Western Plains.
"Hmm" Su Guilan nodded her head in thought when Su Haoran was done.
"Western Plains is another region and entirely different from Central Continent.
Their customs and traditions even differ greatly from here. It is not surprising that you should meet someone that catches your eye. Come, I have a gift for you"
Su Haoran's eyes lit up: "What is it?"
Su Guilan waved her hand as a golden bow appeared from her spatial ring. The golden bow seemed to be made from golden translucent crystals and many rare gemstones designed its body.
The golden bow did not have a string but by merely looking at it, any ordinary person would feel like his life was already slipping away from him.
"This is Skybreaker, a rank six Immortal Grade weapon refined by Old Men Xiong. Is it not beautiful?" Su Guilan smiled.
"Old Men Xiong!?" Su Haoran was stunned by Skybreaker's origin. "Isn't he one of the Three Eccentrics!?"
Su Guilan nodded her head.
The Three Eccentrics of Pridal Flower were Supreme Grandmaster artificers that had lived for many millennia. They were La Wu Zi of Ascending Heaven Mountain, Gong Kong Zhen of Gong Clan and Men Xiong of Rising Tributaries Waterfall.
These three artificers were the pride of Pridal Flower State and were said to be able to refine any artifact in the world. They held great prestige in Pridal Flower State and none of them was better than the others.
"Wonderful! I thought Old Men Xiong did not refine artifacts for any righteous path force" Su Haoran was slightly confused.
"That is true but your grandmother has a few tricks up her sleeves" Su Guilan nodded.
"Skybreaker already has a growing artifact spirit but it would take a few years for it to awaken. Overtime, it would rise from a rank six Immortal Grade weapon to a rank one Divine Grade. By that time, you would be the new master of a Divine Grade artifact"
Su Haoran felt like his ears were deceiving him: "But, my main path is information path. Metal path is only a secondary path for me"
"Su Clan has been cultivating information path for many millennia now and have become the number one information path force in the main world. Our information path methods have crossed the boundaries of human understanding. Still, information path cultivation materials are rare. You do not know this Haoran Er but Gong Clan and Yue Clan have been oppressing us lately and our martial practitioners are finding it difficult to expand our territory.
"When you breakthrough to the Dao Formation realm, you may not find enough information path cultivation materials to continue cultivating. Starting afresh with metal path is the best for you" Su Guilan spoke gently.
This was what she said but there was another reason why she wanted Su Haoran to become a metal path martial practitioner. A few weeks ago, Su Clan discovered a metal path true inheritance that had been lost since the Primordial Antiquity Era.
Su Guilan wanted Su Haoran to inherit the metal path inheritance.
"Hmm" Su Haoran nodded. He trusted Su Guilan fully and knew she meant the best for him. "If that is the best then I shall convert metal path to my main cultivation path"
"Good" Su Guilan smiled. "Now, you must get accustomed to Skybreaker. My intuition tells me that when you return to Western Plains, you will fight this Lu Zheng"
