Chapter 239: Distributing Artifacts

Time passed slowly and after many moments, Lu Zheng was done.

His Qi flowed into the hammer and patterns of clouds on the hammer shone with a bright green colour. Puffs of round smoke formed from the sides of the hammer. 

Anyone that was struck with the puffs of round smoke would lose their focus and be unable to think clearly. In a fight where the slightest lapse in concentration was fatal, the hammer was extremely dangerous.

"Rank four Spirit Grade" Lu Zheng dropped the hammer and picked a bronze shield. He began to inscribe Primordial Spirit Veins inside the shield too.

The cauldrons still continued to burn with molten fluids under Lu Zheng's control. Na Li Yang and Na Li Bo watched on in silence.

The River of Time rushed on ceaselessly and many days passed. In those days, Lu Zheng did not stop refining artifacts for Na Clan. The worst artifact he refined was a rank five Profound Grade artifact. 

Na Li Bo and Na Li Yang knew that Lu Zheng's presence in their Na Clan meant a great era of success for them. Now, they did not need to purchase artifacts from travelling caravans anymore. They could even start selling artifacts to those travelling caravans.

In time, a month passed and the time for the war against Qin Clan came. Lu Zheng had already refined more than enough artifacts for the entire Na Clan.

Na Li Bo stood mid-air with his hands behind him as he addressed the Na Clan martial warriors. The Sky realm elders and Lu Zheng stood on the ground before the martial warriors and listened to Na Li Bo's words.

When he was done, Na Li Bo distributed the artifacts that Lu Zheng had refined to all of the Na Clan martial warriors.

The Na Clan martial warriors were excited and moved to take the artifacts that Lu Zheng had refined. Na Yuxi was naturally part of them.

"Wow!" Na Yuxi admired a sword that she picked. The sword was rank four Profound Grade and was incredibly sharp. The air whistled as she swung it.

Lu Zheng walked over to her: "You seem to like swords"

"Hmm. Only a sharp sword can display the true brilliance of fire path" Na Yuxi nodded as she stared at the sword in her hands.

"In that case, you can have this" Lu Zheng smiled and revealed an artifact from his spatial ring.

The artifact was like a whip with a sword's hilt. The whip was thin and flat like a sword but it could bend in any direction. 

"What is that?" Na Yuxi was surprised. She had never seen any weapon like it.

"It is a sword I refined for you. It suits your fighting style better than normal swords" Lu Zheng replied and gave the sword to Na Yuxi.

Na Yuxi dropped her normal sword and felt the sword Lu Zheng gave her. Her fire Qi flowed into the sword as she swung it. The whip suddenly seemed to come to life like a snake as it danced mid-air.

Na Yuxi was a fast learner and in a few strokes, she understood how the whip sword worked. Her eyes were filled with glee as she gazed at Lu Zheng: "Brother Lu, thank you for the gift"

Lu Zheng smiled: "It's no problem. Besides, you can stop calling me Brother Lu. My name is Lu Zheng"

"Lu Zheng…" Na Yuxi repeated and smiled. Soon, her gaze became distant: "First you gave me the crimson jade for my cultivation and now you are giving me this weapon. Lu Zheng, after we win this fight, I promise to repay you"

"Well, I'll be expecting that. But first, we must win this fight" Lu Zheng nodded before flying away.

Na Li Yang who had watched everything whispered to Na Li Bo: "It seems External Elder Lu has taken a liking to your daughter"

"Hmm" Na Li Bo nodded. "It is no problem so long he doesn't bully Yuxi. Isn't that artifact that he gave her the last artifact that he refined?"

Na Li Yang took a closer look at the artifact in Na Yuxi's hand and nodded: "Yes, it is the rank six Spirit Grade sword that he refined"

Na Li Bo nodded and smiled: "Yuxi has struck it lucky this time"

The Na Clan martial warriors familiarised themselves with their new weapons and showed expressions of joy. The weapons refined by Lu Zheng felt like they were created just for them and suited them perfectly. Even the Sky realm experts had to re-evaluate Lu Zheng.

"He refined Spirit Grade weapons for us even though we do not belong to his faction and he even refined weapons for the entire Na Clan. What is he playing at?"

The Sky realm elders did not know that Lu Zheng was uninterested in playing the games of the righteous path. All he wanted was to develop Na Clan into a force that could satisfy his goals easily.
