The Tale Of The Blue Wolf

"Adelaide! He may be our friend but he still remains our Alpha!" Vallus cautioned.

"Let her be, Vallus. Adelaide is a worthy friend. She will always speak her mind," Artemis said not offended in the slightest.

"I apologize for my rude behaviour, " Adelaide bowed her head slightly.

"It's just us, Adelaide. I do not take offence," Artemis said.

"Still, she should refrain from..."

"That is why she's my friend. She needs no restraint," Artemis smiled.

"And I called this banquet because it could be our very last together," Artemis said to the surprise of Vallus and Adelaide.

"I mean our trio I expect will become four," Artemis said.

"Four? Have you finally found a mate?" Adelaide asked sipping her wine.

"I mean we might have a little Vallus in our midst soon," the tension in Adelaide's mind dropped as Artemis said this. If Artemis had already found a mate it would ruin her plans.
