Chapter Forty-Five: A Letter From The Alpha

Myrtle stood in the garden right under her window; the very window Pete had stoned and come into her room by. She blushed as she remembered him jumping into her room with false bravado. Well it did require real bravery to enter Lord Creon's house through the window. She held the letter that had almost drowned in her hands and read it again for the nth time. She hoped Pete was doing well. Her eyes were then drawn to the pot Pete had had to hide behind the other night when her father had walked into the garden. She walked towards it and imitated his position, it was then she saw a paper tucked underneath the pot.

She lifted the pot and behold she could make out Pete's handwriting. For the note to exist at all till this point it would mean that Pete had attempted to visit her after the flood and she had missed him. She frowned at the lost opportunity and read the contents of the letter.
