Chapter Forty Six: A Chase

For a split second, Velma was grateful for his appearance until she could see the hunger and thirst for her blood in his eyes.

"Let's go," he growled but Velma inched back, terrified of what he would do to her.

She took a look at the man with an arrow in his shoulder. He was slowly transforming like Oldie had— getting disoriented and the sudden change in colour of his eye. Unlike oldie whose pupils had shifted from red to black, his eyes shifted from red to white.

She inched away from all of them slowly, trying to think of the best way to maneuver around the vampires.

"I am your best bet." Tharnis walked towards her with an outstretched hand, his eyes still held desire for blood.

She took it warily, knowing she had no other option. It was either she stay here and get killed by the vampire men who knew her blood was poison to them.
