Chapter Ninety Nine: Remaining Calm While He Works At Brothels

Lord Cyrus had decided that whatever spell his wife's maid had in him had to be broken. He started to avoid Peri and started to have many reactions with other women. Not too long after she moved into the house, Lord Cyrus avoided the house. He was barely ever at home anymore and one cool afternoon lady Matilda expressed her plight.

"He's not been home for three days, three full days, can you imagine that?" She said to Peri and Ella.

"My lady do not despair, lord Cyrus has been busy with business and it is obvious. You have all the finest things now," said Ella who could not understand her mistress. When lord Cyrus had not been able to afford many things she always complained about his inadequacies but now he was a rich lord and that made lady Matilda a respectable woman. Everyone wanted her to attend their ball or party and she was suddenly overwhelmed with attention from all sides except from Lord Cyrus.
