The investigation ended with a random servant taking the fall for it (one Lord Cyrus had planted) but the princess was convinced there was something more to the poisoning. On Dana's thirteenth birthday, she was announced the heir apparent to the throne and received a crown made entirely of white diamonds to signify the start of this new journey. Of course, Lord Cyruss exclusion club had not relented on their efforts to dethrone her and so rumours about her and Dairus started circulating around.

Through Vallus, Lord Cyrus came to know that the princess had a servant boy in her closest circle and there were rumours about the palace servants that the two had been seen kissing on occasion. Although, rumours abound, it was no secret that she favoured this boy above all her noble friends.
