Chapter One Hundred & Sixty Five: Captive Woman

"We cannot go there Pete; this place is more secure than that place," insisted Myrtle.

"Your father and I built a secret underground room under the building, no one would suspect that we are hiding there," replied Pete.

"What about the palace?" quipped Myrtle.

"Have you looked out the window? We can never make it to the palace alive. Moreover if this much came to tear down Lord Creon's home, imagine how the palace will be like?"

Myrtle gave the baby to Pete and stood up, her intention was to look outside the window to see what was happening but exhaustion forced her back to the bed.

"You should get some rest, I will clean up this place and take care of the baby," said Pete to Myrtle.

"Call me Mary, please," said Myrtle.

"I will, we still have time. It will take a while before they can tear down this place so you should rest now," adviced Pete.
