"Leave Aysun? And live in a foreign place with a different identity? I will never abandon my family like that," said Myrtle with her true warrior spirit shining through.

"What about our son? You have a family in us too," Pete reminded her, raising his brows.

"Oh! Pete, I cannot choose between the two," cried Myrtle.

"I did, I chose between the two…"

"I did, Myrtle, I chose this family over my parents," Pete was still burdened by guilt.

"Are you asking that I do the same?" questioned Myrtle.

"No, I'm asking that you do what you think is right. Hopefully, things would not have to come to that. The war will be over soon and we can join the rest of our families," said Pete with a shrug. Hot tears sting his eyes, he was never going to see his own parents again.
